  1. Sean, Is the E18 driver you are talking about the 6.5 with the reed cone? The guys over at DIYMA were pointing it out and wanted me to check it out. I dont know if I should be a guinea pig on my first active install...lol Denim, any idea when you will have the MLI-65 in stock?
  2. Ok, so I am finally ready to order my midbass and my tweeters. They will be powered by either a JBL 75.4 (100X4) or a Sundown Audio 100.4 (100X4), and run active by an Alpine 9815. I have narrowed it down to five choices I just need to make sure they will mesh well together and I am open to any other options in my price range. Option 1: Alpine Type X (ditch the Xover) Option 2: Pioneer TS-720PRS (ditch the Xover) Option 3: Seas 27TFFNC and a Seas CA18RNX Option 4: Peerless exclusives With the Seas 27TFFNC Option 5: Mach5 MLI-65 with an undetermined tweeter. My budget is $300 for mids and tweets. the lower the better but I will spend $300 max, not including shipping.
  3. So basically as long as the front and back wave are seperated I am good, correct?

LOL...Damn cheaters in the street classes with the REX. Its jealousy really...lol a 51.7 puts you in the top 10 in the US right now though. thats a decent score. Scary what more power will do.
  5. So I started kicking around this IB thing after reading this thread. Ive kicked it around before but have a few questions. I read somewhere to be a true IB that you need atleast 11.3ft^3 per driver. so for two 18's I would need almost 23ft^3, is that correct? If thats not the case, which would work better IB the 15's or the 18's? and what kind of power for either one? I asked this question in my old thread but that was lost in the data mishap a few months ago. I think I might be willing to give IB a try beause if worse comes to worse I can always remove the baffle and put the subs in a box. I just have to choose my amps wisely so I dont have to buy amps twice. any input woudl be great. If it ends up being something I could do I will start a thread of my own.
  6. I wanted to do it (still do) but I am a bass head at heart and I dont think it would have the output I desire.
  7. ive heard great things about Valor as well as Tview. Ive seen the Tview double din in action and it seems to be bulil a bot more "solid" than the jensen/dual units. But for the money I dont think you can go wrong with the Valor!
  8. Where are you located? There is a decent wholesale house here in town. But one thing I would recommend to you is to get in with a few of the larger manufacturers and become a dealer. dealing with just wholesalers has ruined many a shops.
  9. I would ask this question on a Honda forum. I dont think there are a whole lot of Honda owners here. Is there not a hole on the firewall anywhere?
  10. If $400 is your budget get the Jensen. Not great but better than the dual. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Jensen-7-Mu...roductDetail.do
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...y0%3D%26fvi%3D1 Its all down hill from here. I will pay for it in the morning, hope to have it here this week sometime.
  12. I dont think there is anyone YET that has heard them both together. I will say though they seem to be evenly matched but the Fi woofer comes in at almost $100 less (based on retail prices).
  13. how much you want for the 9835?
  14. Two 15" Kicker Solobarics (round) Kicker ZR1000 Alpine CDA-9827 Factory door speakers in my explorer FTW!!
  15. Man....the claw basket makes me want to hump stuff!!!
  16. Already got all that deleted, thanks though.
  17. Merely out of curiosity why do you say never get the bluetooth car kit?
  18. I could be wrong but I am thinking that is a one off re-cone of another sub. I would think Scott would announce a new basket. the logo less cone is what tells me that is porbably a one off re-cone.
  19. Found a bunch of 9815's on ebay....hopefully I can get one of them for the low! It is kind of neat as well....all of the auctions I am bidding on close around the time my overtime check comes in! muahhhahahahha
  20. I suck at saving money for things I find to be frivelous....it works better for me to do it piece by piece. It takes a bit longer but the more money I have the harder time I have spending it on stereo instead of a bill or something like that.
  21. I had two of the old round solo's sealed and was tip toeing around 140db. dont under estimate sealed, alot of the guys in the 150-159.9 bass race class are sealed....albeit with a chit ton of subs..lol
  22. I think option 2 is wise. I was leaning towards the bluetooth but just realized that it is all going to have to come back out when I start my build and get a HU. I have my earpiece til then.
  23. How do you like that combo? It seems to be rather popular over at DIYMA.
  24. He got it figured out. He ended up having a loose connection at the battery. He is still working on the second problem but we think that one is a bad input on the RCA's.
  25. I am getting ready to sell a cell phone I am not using. Once it is sold I will have $260 to spend on something for car audio. I have three choices on how to spend the $260 and wanted some opinions from everyone else as to what you would do or what would be more beneficial. Option 1- Two rolls of raamaat. Spend an entire weekend deadning my car, I might have a day off by the time it gets here. Option 2- One roll of raamaat which is enough to do my front doors and my trunk hatch (completely sealed doors) and then buy the basics I need for wiring from Knukonceptz which is a 1/0 kit, POS battery terminal and three pairs of 2ch RCA's. Option 3- Get the bluetooth car kit and harness ive been wanting. The main reason I am even considering this is because with option 1 and 2 I will have to rip apart my interior twice. once to deaden and once to wire and I would rather do that all at once. Which would you do?
