Hi, guys! Seeing that I'm currently in the position of selling my eD 19Ov.2's, I have to find something else to put in my walled Mini. Didn't even get to test the 19Ov.2's, but I have had a RL-p15 a couple of years ago, and it's the best subwoofer I've ever owned. And the loudest. ^^ So, now I wonder - for a wall (I can use it as "IB" too (very large sealed box), as there's quite a lot of room behind it): 1 (or 2) RL-p18's OR 1 RL-s15? I've heard so much about the RL-s, I really want to try it out! But would it beat a RL-p18 in output? And what about 2 RL-p's? Thanks!

Actually, when pronounced "Sound Quality - LOUD!" S Q L makes a little sense. Maybe that's where it came from, who knows.

WTF, why does "S-Q-L" automatically become LSQ? I know it's what it should've been, but come on - "S-Q-L" is so well established!

I hit 144.4dB on the new TL mic in my '97 Honda Civic Is, @ 52hz. Could've hit more if tuned higher... 82 litre enclosure tuned to ~34hz for LSQ. Sounded great, not sure if I can say I've heard anything like it sooner or later. Stock electrical system, and a cheapass 3000W RMS amp pushing 6-700 watts into the RL-p (the 60A fuse on the 2 gauge didn't break).

Oh my god, I'm going to have to ditch my sponsorship with RE/USAmps now. RL-p 18". And I loved the 15"! I'm hyperventilating! Greetings from Norway, Mike!

Good idea! The SEAS factory is only an hours drive away from here too, maybe I'll ask them directly about their prefered polyfill product. I have a dealer within an hour also. The RL-p will receive its power from a SoundMagus X-3000 (www.soundmagus.com). China product with good specs (allthough a bit hopefully rated) and very good power delivery. Strong and cheap, just the way I like my women.... uh... amps.

Hi, guys! Since I bought my RL-p15 (dual 2 ohm) earlier this year, I just know there can't be another sub out there to match this truly super woofer when it comes to price/LSQ/fun/pleasure. I had a LSQ setup in my Civic, did 144.4dB legal on the new TL. With small ports and a cheap ass amp I figure that's pretty decent! Now I've sold my Civic HB, and bought a little funny jap - Honda Del Sol (the "little two-seat Vtec-beast"). Thing is, I still want to use my RL-p15! So I sacrificed a little seat travel, and bent my knees for some awesome beats from this little rascal. A fiberglass enclosure behind/between the seats should do it, right? Now we're getting to the main issue - how do you think my little baby will sound in a 1,5cuFt sealed enclosure? Hopefully I'll get this much volume - I have to measure when I'm done building. I think I have to fill it with polyfill/fiberglass insulation. Anyone know where to get this? I live in Norway, though, international shippers will be appreciated. Will be happy to get to know your experiences/thoughts around this. - Jan Rune, Norway

Hi! I did 144.4dB with one RL-p 15 (dual 2 ohm) in a '97 Honda Civic HB. The box was tuned to ca. 34-35Hz and was about 2,5cuFt. The ports were only two 3" aeroports! I gave it roughly 6-700 watts RMS when I measured it. Oh, btw, this was on a TermLab with the new mic mounted on the windshield, passenger side, windows and doors closed and engine off. By the book, measured at the Norwegian dB-champion's garage. The peak result of 144.4dB was at 52-53Hz, so if I had tuned my box higher with bigger ports I might have gained another 2-3dB easily. In a hatchback/coup

I've contacted www.showrides.net, and I've gotten an offer. Sounds promising. Seems I get a Mag D2 15" for $150 less than I payed for my previous setup - three Premier TS-W3004SPL. So that's about $650 delivered in Norway. (Car audio is sickingly expensive in Norway!!). In WinISD, these to setups are almost exactly the same in frequency response and output, allthough I know this will change a bit in real life. The Magnum has more than twice the Xmax and much more than half the Sd, so it should be quite a bit louder - and put me in Street B instead of Street C! I'm currently in contact with SoundSplinter also, and it seems like a RL-p will be about $150 cheaper than the Mag again. Nevertheless, I guess I'll go for the Mag, since its capable of handling more power (my amp is rated 1800W RMS @ 4 ohms, which should sound like goodie-goodie, or the widow maker of ears @ high volumes). Come to think of it, I think I'll put a big black "Widow Maker"-sticker on my rear window. Muahaha. I'm such a kid. Thanks for all help and quick responses. I now know where to go when looking for help and info! BTW: In a hatchback (1990 Toyota Celica Alltrack), what kind of box would you go for? I have about 2-2.2 cu.ft. to play with (know it's little), thinking about sealed enclosure, sub facing rear window (e.g. upwards), and a big port facing rear for dB-drag competing. Would I lose a lot of Xmax by doing this, or is it ok? Probably it's the only way to get that big sub in there!

Hi, people! I've been sending some e-mails to SI lately, but have been getting zero response because I get a delivery failure notification. If somebody can tell me how to reach these guys, I'd be very thankful. The subject is getting a SI Magnum D2 15" sent to me in Norway, and possibly getting myself a dealer status if it's possible. Norway needs some better equipment than Pyle/Boss/Sony/MTX etc... By the way - just out of curiousity - which is better: The Stereo Integrity D2 15", or the SoundSplinter RL-p 15". The RL-p's cost less than half, but seems quite good after what I've heard. Is the SPL and SQ comparable between these two, and what about the durability? In my car I'll be using a 2.2 cu.ft. sealed box, with an optional port for SPL competition (tuned high). Have a 3000W RMS @ 2 ohm amplifier Thanks! Regards from Norway, Jan Rune
