okay thanks, so is there enough difference between the volume from 1 15 btl and 2 12 bls to warrant the $200 price difference? Right now i have 2 10" type r's in a prefab ported box and they are pretty loud. how much louder would 1 15" btl be in a ported box tuned for spl? would there be a night and day difference between the two?

hahaz yes to which one? Both! haha well i would rather get one 15 because of the price...and it being a btl...but i'm not sure how it would hit upper bass notes (i think i have my LPF at around 80 or 90)

Hey, so I was just wondering, which would be louder in a car running off of a powerbass ASA 1500.1Dx amp (both would be 1500w rms at 1 ohm), two Fi BL 12's or one Fi BTL 15?

I have a PowerBass ASA 1500.1Dx, in a 2000 ford taurus 24v with the 130 amp alternator and a run of 4 gauge. I've got a second shuriken battery in the back, and currently 2 type r 10's. Will upgrading to 2 fi Qs give me much SPL over what I already have? I like a lot of rap, and recently Young Jeezy. i want it as loud as i can while still sounding clean

Thanks. How about BL's? How much louder is the BL than the Q, and how much cleaner is the Q? Which would you rather have?

I would go with the BL's but it all depends on the install. I have never been a big fan of Alpine woofers I've been pretty happy with the r's. what do you like about the BL's, and what don't you like about alpines? I prefer the BL's over the type x's because of the output BL's. I have never heard the type r's in person but as far as the type x's they sound pretty clean but the output is not really there. Maybe i should have said I'm not a big fan of the Alpine type x woofers instead of making a general statement about all of their lines How clean are the BL's? I don't want dirty bass, i want it tight and loud

Yeah i was thinking that because mine is pretty loud with my type r's but its also hella clean, even with my stock deck. ive been in cars that are as loud as mine but sound dirty and i dont like it. are type x's loud? and how clean are bl's? i can get both subs for about the same price, the bl's being a litte more expensive

I've currently got 2 10" type R's, but ill have to upgrade eventually because they are being overpowered and i am trying to decide which way to go
