new install
i just finished my latest install in my '01 accord coupe. its nice, im very pleased. i may be in the market for some new mids soon. in the front and puttin sumtin else in the back as well, in the spot of the 6x9's. well as of now i have some alphasoniks in the front. and some chity infiniti reference 6x9s in the back. the 6x9s are powered from the deck, but i can turn the decks amp, but the alphasoniks are powered by a US AMPs MD41 (thank you flakko) bridged. it does 160-180 rms. so those alphasoniks r pretty powered. but if i were to get anything else i would be going 4 channel, and getting comps that r around 60-75 rms. but ya, thats somethings else entirely. and i will be building some kicks soon. for the rear. i have a diamond audio d915d2 15" in a 2.25 cubic ft sealed enclosure (my first enclosure build). powered by a us amps ax1000de pushin 1000 rms at 1 ohm. and that has surpassed my expectations. i have the whole car deadened with RAAMat, and the h/u is an alpine cda 9855. overall i am really excited about the whole deal. and it was a blast doing it all. this was my first true system install, and i will be posting pics very soon. thanks for all yalls help with various problems to SSAudio is amazing.

blown amp
i had the same problem for awhile with my merlin md41, and i poked around with a DMM and found it was the fuse. i looked at the fuse and couldnt see much wrong. it was a hairline fracture on the fuse that messed everything up, my guess is check that first.

voltage
i have a 2001 honda accord. and ya i will get it checked out. i just got out of servicing it, and im surprised that they didnt check that out as well. thanks for your help. i have a ax1000de and a merlin MD41 and im pretty sure that they will take up to 16.5volts, or higher im not sure.

voltage
ok so i talked to my friend and hes getting around 13.5 volts to everything in his car. i thought i was only getting about 14, but when i checked it with my DMM im getting something steady between 17.2 and 18.6 is this overkill or is that good?

us amps website
im not to fond of the site either. i think they should lose some of the flashy stuff, and get more specs on the amps, and some much better navigation. i hate having to wait 30 seconds every time that i want to see an amp, but i do love us amps thats for sure.

amplifier not working
its always the flippin fuses i swear. and taking the paint off the grouds helps alil too, and that is why you never let cartoys do your wiring when your 16. aite well everything should work now. thanks for your help.

amplifier not working
ya I AM A check all that tomorrow when i get off of work. the remote lead is a prbable cause, we just twisted and electrical tape. I AM A solder it all together then use a solderless crimp terminal to get all three wires. and if that doesnt work, then its either the power wire, or the amp itself, but my guess is the power wire.

amplifier not working
the power or the protect light would still be on if it was the h/u though wouldnt it?

amplifier not working
ok so i got the back speakers to work and i tried the amp on my other wires for the sub amp. still nothing. where gunna check all the wiring sometime this week probably with a DMM and ill post the results and see what's going on with everything. i hope its just wiring...

amplifier not working
ok i just got a new 9855 with 4 volt preouts and a used merlin m41 from flakko, and i go the 9855 to work, but when i hook up the amplifier, nothing, not even the power or protect light came on, but then today outta nowhere when i turn on the car, i hear this semi loud click noise, and the amp turned on and i could listen to music, but wasn't very loud, even at 20 volume. it then proceeded to shut off again, and now has no music coming from the speakers, and the amp's lights (power/protect) are off as well. i had this same problem with the last amp i had, before. and im sure when i put that one in it will have the same problem. anyone have any ideas? and i have speakers in my rear deck that are connected via the h/u, and they dont play either. answers, suggestions, comments.

preout voltage
ya but i dont really have the money right now for even a decent eq, i will in the future though, and when that happens i will need it. i got this on the cheap and sold my old 9851 for a good price, ended up only costing me a net total of just over 30 for this one.
-
preout voltage
i really dont needa listen to the music louder than 23 anyway so im not to worried. ive had a 9851 for about a year or so n i liked it alot. i just want the mx, and a display that is more readable. so im not to worried about that.

preout voltage
ok i just got a alpine cda9855, and the preouts say 4 volts. i am going to be using a us amps ax1000de and a us amps merlin md41, and the input gain on the ax1000de is 150mV to 3 volts. and the md41 i dont have the manual on. so my question is. will a 4 volt preout work with this amp, and if anybody knows if it will work with the merlin as well. also what exactly will the difference be between 2 volt preouts and 4 volt preouts. becuase im pretty sure 4 volt is better. thanks

ax1000de question
ok it says in the manuel 100 amp fuse externally. hard to find though. its tiny in the booklet. well where should i place the fuse and fuse holder is what im asking now. and where is a good place to get them
-
ax1000de question
i just got an AX1000de, i dont see any internal fuses so im guessing that im going to have to do an external fuse for it. my guess is a 100 amp fuse . do any of yall have any input on placement of the fuse, the fuse size, and where i could get one, and a fuse holder for a reasonable price. thanks

alright i have a 2001 honda accord coupe, and am looking into buying a new ride. im not sure whether to be looking into another trunk installation, SUV, or hatch. I have a diamond audio d915d2, a us amps AX1000de amp, alphasonik components with a us amp merlin md41 powering them. i am looking for basically a realiable wehicle that will be the best for a LSQ system. looking to pay around $20k or less, or if i should stick with the car i have now. dont have an enclosure yet, but will build for respective car. (if keeping the accord i will be making a fiberglass corner enclosure), and i may also be doing this for any other car i may purchase. something sporty, and that looks good, i was looking at a supra, but knows. thanks

diamond audio d915d2
thanks, ill look into it.

diamond audio d915d2
do you think that this box would be the best for me, it is the manufactures suggesttion. http://www.diamondaudio.com/products/pdfs/...Vented%2005.pdf

diamond audio d915d2
o and the blue is the sealed, and the lighter color is the vented. and to remind everybody im going for SQ here with SPL but if the vented will still sound nearly as good ill go with the vented most definately. If sealed i will be building a fiberglass enclosure to fit the back left corner of my trunk in a 2001 honda accord. so that may increase SPL as well.

diamond audio d915d2
ok heres the photos: the sub itself next is the SPL chart next is the phase chart next is the gain chart and finally the delay chart if you need any help decifering then dont hesitate to ask.
