  1. Ok i didn't know that I was that short on port area.So what would you guys recommend?Would 2 6" aero ports work?
  2. Hey all.I was just wondering if I should get longer aero ports.Right now I have 2 4" PSP aero ports and they are kinda short in my opinion.I wasnt real sure on which way to measure them so I measured them from flare to flare.I was aiming for 35hz for my tuning. The flares right now are 11" long from flare to flare. The tube part is only 5" long and the rest of the length is the flares. Here is my setup info. I have 4 10" DC Audio Level 3 m2's with level 4 upgrades and a dc 5k My box deminsions are 16" Tall x 30" Wide x 23" Deep. So should I lengthen my ports to get more port area or not? Let me know if anymore info is needed please. Thanks
  3. Well I have dc 5k amp that I would use for the build. I was going to sell my current subs and put that towards the wall build. Oh and 16k i live in southwest Missouri. My car is a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT I really want a wall but I just dont know how to go about it or the first thing about building one.
  4. Hey all.Is it true that you can build a wall and then slide it in your car?Ive heard of people doing this but wasn't sure if it was real or what.If its real how would I go about doing it?I want to build a wall but I dont want to spend 1200 bux to have some one build it so I was going to attempt to do it myself.I have a 2007 Dodge caliber and was wanting 4 15's if it helps any.
  5. Ok cool I didn't even think of doing it that way. Thanks for telling me this will make it alot easier!!
  6. They are grounded in my rear tire well.I just forgot to add that in the drawing lol sorry.
  7. Ok now I just gotta find one lol. Thanks again.
  8. Ok cool thank you for the info. Also,I planned on cutting out the holes first then glue the peices together.
  9. Hey all here is a noob question that I need answered. How do I double baffle where my subs are going to be?Like do I just glue 2 peices of MDF together or do I have to do something differenet besides glue?I know this is a major noob question but I am going to be attempting to build a box for my 4 10's and I want to double baffle and flush mount where my subs are going to be and wasn't 100% sure how to do it.Thanks in advance. HawkEye
  10. Ok I found the kicker models that was mentioned above. My question is don't I need a distro block with 2 1/0 guage in and 2 1/0 guage out or how should I do it?
  11. Ok.Could some one give me a link to one that will work for me becasue Im kinda lost here.
  12. What is the correct way to install them? Also,Ill need a fused distribution block right?
  13. Hey all I need to re wire my car and move my batts back and get them off my back seat so I can compete. So i was wondering instead of having to take all my wire that I ran out,Could I just use a distribution block as a means of extending my wire? Here is a pic of what I have currently and what Im talking about doing. Sorry for crappy drawings lol.So if you understand what im talking about doing, will it work ?Thanks
  14. Thats exactly what i was thinking of doing. That way i can do alot of testing
  15. Yes i will be competing this summer for sure.
  16. I would like to get 150db on music or burp either one really. 19 inches tall is the absolute tallest i can go and i want it to be 32like inches wide so i can just slide the box into my car. I have alot of room to play with depth wise though. If i go 40 inches deep i will still have a ton more room behind the enclosure than i do now. I think between 35 and 40 inches deep would be my best bet. Maybe like 37inches or something in the middle. So does anyone think its even plauseable to get a 150 with my current equipment? I know there are a ton of variables but if everything was right is it possible with my 5k and 4 10's
  17. Hey all.Im going to be getting a different enclosure and im wondering how big it needs/should be.I have 4 10" DC lvl 3 subs with lvl 4 upgrades.Ive been doing some thinking and I think i can move my batteries and have room for a bigger enclosure. The max deminsions I could use would be 32W x 19H x 40D.My goal is to hit 150db and I just cant do that with my current enclosure.I know the deminsion I gave are probaly to big for the 4 10's so thats why I was wondering how big I should make it.I would like the entire enclosure to be double baffled and I would like to use aero ports.I have always liked aero ports but I have never had a enclosure with them.I would like the enclosure to be tuned to 35hz also and I would use either 3/4 inch MDF or birch. Also I would have to subs up and port back more than likly.Im not wanting or asking for a design,im just wondering what demsions I should use. So taking into account all of the above, how big should I make the enclosure? Thanks in advance. HawkEye
  18. Ok.As far as I can tell all the subs are moving the same direction, but one seems to be moving more the the other ones when i apply the battery to it.I dunno im lost.Should I reverse the polarity and see how it does?To do that all I do is hook the - to + and + to - on from the box terminal to the amp right?Like Adrian suggested?
  19. Ok i just check it with a DMM and at first it read 2.2 ohms but it was moving up and down alot and I noticed that i didnt have the probes from the dmm tight enough in the terminals. So i tried it again and it read 1.5ohms and didnt move from there. So i must have it wired wrong then or what? Here are pics to show the readings.I dont have a 9v battery so im going to go buy one and do the other test.
  20. Here is a noob question but how do I tell if they are wired out of phase? Grab a DMM if you have one and check it out, that is the best fastest way. Ok.So if the DMM reads 1ohm im good or how do I tell if its out of phase with a DMM? Sorry for all the noob questions also

  22. Hey all.I was wondering if my port is to close to my rear hatch. My friends and I both seem to think my system should be louder and I seem to think that it might be my port being to close to my rear hatch and not having enough room to breathe. My system consists of a DC 5k and 4 10" DC lvl 3 m2 subs with the level 4 upgrades. My enclosure was made by DC Creations and is 4.5 cubes after displacments (I believe) and tuned to 33hz.Here is a pic of what im talking about with the port.I can take a better pic if need be.So what im wondering is if I flip the box around with the port facing into the cabin instead of towards the hatch, would it help out any or would a enclosure with subs up and port up be better?Let me know what you guys think. Thanks
  23. I got it all fixed!!No more smelly subs lol. Thanks again for the help!
  24. Ok.All my bass boost settings are off or set to 0 on my head unit and my bass boost on my amp is turned all the way down.So your saying turn my bass knob all the way down and set my ssf then set my gain? Ok cool.I will try doing this later today and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for the help ricksi30 and Skullz
  25. No When I set my gain I had the bass knob half way up and right now the knob is a little less than half way.My ssf is set to stock becasue I havent touched it,as well as everything else excpet the gain.
