Finally uploaded some of the pictures I took earlier of the Icon. I have been teaching my brother a few things here and there; we started working on the enclosure for the Icon last night. If you're looking for small sealed, you might be better off with the IDMAX. The high Qts pushes these drivers towards larger sealed or infinite baffle applications.

When it comes to installing, the only way you can learn is to install. Theoretical knowledge is easily acquired from reading books and hanging out on forums.

Crazy to think how insignificant we are....we've been here maybe 200,000 years and Earth has been here for around 4.6 billion. One of those days where you question the relevance of anything. Except music and the reproduction of it.

With the exception of maybe 1 or 2 drinks a month, I have substituted tea for soda/pop for the last 2 years. Caffeine can really put a beating on my body, so I usually have decaf green tea, though I'm not particularly adverse to any tea, whether it has caffeine or not. I would like to try my hand at growing some, but it's a long wait between seeding and harvesting.

I don't understand why there is such a misunderstanding on this topic.... As enthusiasts, we believe a complete system should be more than a sub and an amp. To the average user, a system need only have a sub and an amp. Not sure how an argument can be made out of that?

The SPL12 will take that and more. Any of the manufacturers here will provide a product very satisfactory. For daily use with a single sub, the BTL or SPL12 seems quite appropriate.

How does power change tuning? It doesn't change tuning but it does increase excursion, potentially requiring more cross sectional area, which will drop your Fb (tuning frequency). Let's try not to do the "I'll follow you to every thread and bitch" thing; both parties.

Today is a good day.

To me, it's not even about price and performance. It's about what Fi is offering: products that can be customized to satisfy any customer's needs. There are more and more companies every day trying to sell the same product for less, but there is no company that is even within the realm of Fi's customization. I have great respect for what they've done and will continue to do.
