The black " thingy" is a muting relay used to interupt the output to avaid a HUGE turn on/off pop. And that white thing is a sand cast resistor used to bleed the voltage from the output filter caps to prevent you from frying yourself.... So what input are you using?

Just like all of the OLD School US Amps this beast was rated at 12.5 volts. I have seen these beasts make well over 3800 rms with a proper load and voltage. But again they are going to want well over 400 amps to do so.

Yes the MD3D's will run 16 Volts but I only reccommend it for comps not daily driving.

No it is not and even then you have either a 4 ohm or 1 ohm load neither of which will give you as much power as running a single woofer @ 2 ohms per amp.

1500 is the real rms on them I have 4 of the 12's and love them they hit hard as hell and for a burst can more than handle 2500 rms.

We are not killing any of the models just changing the cosmetics a little.

Let me double check to see if I can quote something other than flat rate on those. 200.00 is the flat rate on the MD2D out of warranty.

With 4 SR10D4's you have either a 0.5 ohm load or a 2 ohm load and thos woofers want 300 rms each so i would really suggest 2 amp not 1 2 of the Merlin MD1D'1 would be perfect. That gives you head room and lets the amps be more eff.
