ok so i started on my wall the other day goin 3 days strong on it and im gettin close to being finished but cant untill i pick subs so i ask for help.. heres what ive come up with. #1 1 solo x 18 #2 4 aq sdc2 15s #3 2 aq hdc3 15s #4 4 fi x 15s #5 4 aq sdc2 12s #6 4 cvx 15s or 12s cant forget what im leaning torwards the most a dual 2 ohm ia dp 21 with one ap3k to a coil... thats the most liked from myself right now any of those are what im deciding amps will either be an aq 3500.1 or 2 ap3000.1 or possible a used sundown 3k or 2k can get either choice at same price so undecided wall can be from 8 to 16+ cubes ported at around 32 hertz help me out guys comment back with choice # thanks in advance

i checked there site and it says that its 4000rms at 1 ohm and strapped power is 8k but doesnt show impedance if people can run it at .5 alone the id say strapped at one is fine but i wouldnt do it for a daily setup

im running one 18 inch ib3 at 2 ohms on a kicker zx1500.1 and its gettin louder then the 2 12 inch w7s i had on my ap3000.1. i had doubts about buyin the ib3 because of what ive seen in threads about it but for the price im glad i did. ill proly be gettin another one for a wall here soon gotta upgrade my electrical and amp first. just thought id give you my .2

the cresendo is over 500 im stayin under 400 for my amp i can get a sundown for 350 as well as the aq

which amp would be best for my 2 15 inch mtx 9500's. they are d4 coils so im gonna wire them at 1 ohm

Who said you have to pay a lot for sound quality? i was just saying that for such a good price for an 18 inch sub i wanted to hear from someone who bought the sub about how it sounds.. im still debating on maybe gettin rid of my 2 mtx 9515's for 2 of those but im not sure. i love the way the 9500's sound in my car

i have it in my car now and its in a 6 cubic foot box at 35 to 38 hertz and no problems i also had a bad ground when it was doing the noise and now that i changed it and put in in a box i ahve no problems except having a realy small amp...

im doing the box as we speak. just started an hour ago but its hotter than balls outside. i tested it on a hifonics brutis at 1 ohm had the sub wired at 1 ohm then tried it at 4 ohms and it still did the noise. did each coil seperate still did it.. i went to the re dealer here in louisville ky and he said put it in the box and it should be ok if not he will send it in for me ill post pics when im done with the box should be around 6 or 7

i might have to try out the polyfill for the 1st time

im gonna build a box next week so i will wait and see what happens before i go and recone it and spend the money

j/w its really not moving too much to be bottoming out but i might be wrong.. after i do my new box i will try it out. if it still does the sound i will take it to the local re audio dealer and maybe recone after that if they cant help me

well i like my system to sound really solid and i also use my daily setup for occasional comps. i would like to know best spl answer though re mx 18 in 6 to 8 cubes ported after displacment

I had this problem before. got rid of the rca's and got some kicker rca's still no fix went from 2 8 guage grounds to 1 1/0 guage ground to the frame noise was gone bad ground = cause of the noise just my .02.

its an re mx 18 free air on 500 watts to test it out i only hear the pop noise on higher volumes i have no idea what it is

ive been told that puttin carpet on the inside of a box will make the sub think the box is bigger there for sound better or louder. but i personaly like fiberglassing the inside to gurantee its super sealed and not falling apart ported or selad enclosure which would be the better idea or maybe carpet over fiberglass

i really thought about gettin 2 18 inch ib3's but wasnt sure on sound to quality due to the good a$$ price. how would you rate those

i checked the coils and they both read 2.1 and 2.2 ohms. its a dual 2 ohm sub ive tried push in on the sub and out and dont hear a thing checked the tinsil leads looked at the cone its self and i dont know what it is... i asked about it in another topic i had going but i felt this need its own post because im sure others have had the same problem. any suggestions on what to do before i send it in for a recone should i take it apart myself first or what help me out

Do you here a rubbing sound when tou press down on it? nothing at all thats why im clueless... ive looked online and heared of something behind cone moving or mayber the cone rubbing to make the popping noise i haer. should i recone or take it apart and see whats up any help

Ill post pics of it tomorrow im testing it and im not sure if its blown or not i metered it and both coils read 2.1 and 2.2 its a dual 2 so im thinkin the coils are fine. i hooked it up free air and it makes a popping noise at a higher volume. is it blown or what i looked at both coils cone coil itzs self pushed in on it pushed out on it it doesnt seem blown but its making a noise someone please help me out.. ive never heard this sound

I BOUGHT IT!!! its a beast now i just gotta sell my old sub for the recone cost

i called reand they said its not a field job and that i have to send it in to them

would it be a good deal to buy a re mx 18 that has one bad coil for 100 cash. ive got a quote on a recone of 182 but shipping will be another 60 there and back. what do you all think
