  1. LOL Yes, cheapen is a better word for it. A lot of it has to do with the fact that there isn't much of a perceived market for true sports cars in the US. If everyone is content buying sports cars that still utilize leaf springs and live rear axles then why bother making something better?
  2. The trend isn't exclusive to Ford either. There are quite a few manufacturers that soften up the American versions of their cars. Says a lot about our market
  3. and it goes like it looks
  4. Those comments were posted in the pursuit of saving you money. What you seem to be describing is a ported box with a pretty steep roll off. A properly designed ported enclosure would most likely suit your needs. That is, of course, if I'm understanding your dilemma correctly.
  5. In Europe, your Fords look like this: and this: Can't forget the Cosworth Escort
  6. Congratulations Adrian. It would be awesome to walk to work every day
  7. I don't think I could do those problems either and I finished Calc I 2 years ago. This makes me regret registering for Calc II
  8. I was under the impression they allowed you to use a calculator! That is insane. Even the ACT allows calculators.

Pepper before cooking? I was always taught to put pepper on afterwords. Then again I know next to nothing about cooking
  10. Agreed. You said you've got 400 to spend on a headunit. You should be able to find one for nearly half that to handle your processing. If you like the 9887 search around for one of those. Don't buy that kicker.
  11. I don't think you can with the equipment you currently have. You don't have a crossover
  12. pucking IE6. IE blows in general, but for god sakes I wish they'd let us update already.
  13. The only way to really memorize that stuff is through repetition. Even then most people forget it shortly after they stop using it frequently. I know I have.
  14. You're getting pretty good with fiberglass work. I'm jealous
  15. I was tempted to make the same joke
  16. I feel like shit, I need to get more sleep.
  17. Yes, I was wrong. I was thinking he meant the 15". The 15" and the 12" vary quite a bit. I wouldn't have said that in regards to the 12. For the 15 I came up with a box size of 3.24ft^3 tuned at 26.14Hz with a 3db roll off starting at 20.68Hz. I used general formulas to find the ideal box specifications for the flattest response curve. When it was implied that the HD's liked a certain tuning this is what I had in mind. The 12 came out to 38Hz. My apologies.

How big is your current box? If it's the biggest box you can fit and within a normal range for those 3512's you probably won't have room for an 18" BTL. I don't know if I'd use an N3 for daily. I have heard with the right box design a fairly flat response can be had, but I wouldn't attempt that unless you're pretty confident in your skills as a designer.
  19. And I'd have no use for the sport bike.
  20. Was just thinking the same thing
  21. That sub doesn't "like" high tuning. Most of the people who run them choose to tune their boxes that way.
  22. The hop is full of scholars
  23. Double post......god damn phone
  24. Good luck. Remedial classes would blow, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Hopefully you won't have to
