No, it went off so i added oil. It was below the hash marks on the dipstick.... who knows.

Thats the thing. I'm not sure why the green stuffs in there, if the orange is the GM standard. I looked through the manual and it said the service engine soon light is likely an emissions thing. So i'm guessing an o2 sensor. Another thing. I filled the oil. Think i might have done a bit too much. Its idling around 50psi rather than 40... Is it fine? It doesn't get near 80. It was down to the bottom of the dipstick, so i added a quart... and i guess that was too much.

Alright, so the service engine soon light came on in the Tahoe. I checked the airfilter, its mint. Checked the oil, it was low so i added a quart of 5w30. Its now slightly over (eek)... i went to put in antifreeze, mixed it up, opened the hoes and it was green... as to where the GM stuff i have is orange. I heard something one time about making sure not to mix different kinds... should i be worried? Now that i look its topped off already. Have no clue what the lights about, i'll check it out in a week.

craig chaquico comes to mind. i really dont know a whole lot about the genera, but my dads always listening to it, and theres not a whole lot that pleases my ears more. i've just never gotten into the habbit of listening to it while i drive so i haven't paid too much attention. i hope to fix that with this new system though. i'm open to any suggestions. and i'm glad to hear i'm headed down the right track thank you for your help. do you have any suggestions as far as mounting locations? and the pro's and con's of each?

I'm thinking with the Scan i'd probably be able to mount it on the A pillar or the dash firing against the windshield. As far as music, i listen to everything. Jazz, Soul, Hip-Hop, Rock, Folk, Electronic, etc. I prefer a laid back sound as far as the highs go.
