i got a khaotic enclosure and i was going to put it in my trunk, but it wouldnt fit, so now im putting it in the back passenger side seat. the box is vertical with the port above the front passenger's head rest. i took the passenger rear seat out, and im putting a wood barrier where the seat back used to be. not sure what kind of wood to use tho. then im mounting my 4 channel amp to the back of the wood barrier. was going to put MLVB on the barrier and then closed cell foam on top. then some more closed cell foam on the bottom of the seat where there is just metal now, so the box wont vibrate against it. so am i going the right way with this sound deadening? and also what would be the easiest way to secure the sub box so that it wont kill the person sitting in the front passenger seat?

i think one is cea rated and the other isnt

i got 3 kinetik batteries. 2 1800 and 1 800. the 800 is going under the hood and the 2 1800s are going in the trunk. the hc800 voltage is at 12.49 and the 1800 is 12.65 and the other is like 12.7. can i hook them up in parrallell or will the hc800 ruin both the other batteries.

what are the pros and cons of a 4" voice coil compared to a 3" voice coil? other than it can dissipate heat/take more watts. im just curious because i just bought one with a 4 inch coil a few days ago. and i just got my khaotic enclosure today .

want to buy this immediately for my 12" khaotic enclosure. when will they be available?

i preordered a khaotic enclosure and i was originally going to get a bl 12 fully loaded with 1700 rms (hifonics brz1700.1D). now the btl-n1 came out. it looks like a lower power alternative to the btl n2. the n1 looks like a sq driver and is a lot lighter, but im not sure if it would have more spl than the bl 12. im not sure how much the n1 will cost either, but shipping will be a lot lower than with a bl. which 12 inch sub u think i would be better off to get? electrical: stock alternator 1 hc800 under hood 2 hc1800 in trunk rockford fosgate 10 farad hybrid capacitor 1 and 2 awg big 3

a problem i could see happening is to large of a cone mass. but a good idea! just use a radial magnet (circle magnet with a hole in the center). u can then put a stationary cylindar magnet with the same or opposite polarity in the middle of the radial magnet to keep it linear

would it be possible to make a sub with the magnet in the middle and have the copper coils where the magnet usually is. then that way u can have hallow copper tubes with copper wired arround the tubes and have liquid nitrogen or w/e flow through the tubes cooling the copper wires. the coils will stay in the same spot and they will move the magnet when electricity flows through.

i have 2 kinetik 1800's and im going to put them in the back of my trunk in parallel. im getting rid of my stock battery. this is how i would wire it: i have 2 awg wire to connect the alternator to the battery. the wire will go from the alternator to battery A's positive terminal. Battery A's positive terminal will be connected to battery B's positive terminal. the stock terminal (from stock battery) will be connected to a wire that will be run to the trunk go to battery B's positive terminal. the stock terminal has 2 wires connected to it, one goes to the fuse box and the other goes behind the engine and i cant see where it goes to. my guess is that it goes to the starter or alternator. if it is the alternator would there be a problem if its connected to both batteries? i so electricity will run from alternator to battery A then battery B then down to the fuse box and whatever the wire behind the engine leads to.

damn those would be nice for the ssd. i could use it later when i upgrade to 2 12 btl. i wonder if the color blue chrome for fi symbol would match the blue on the enclosure vent, the batteries and wire are all blue so i kinda want it to match. but white vent would look sick with white fi symbol. im defiantly going to get one tho when i get the money.

The 15 bl fully loaded with 3.5ft^3 ported box from fisher customs is $564. 2 ssd ported with a 4ft^3 from fisher customs costs $593, so im going with the 2 12 ssd ported for a little more $$. im not sure if fi charges shipping for the subs because i didnt add that in. Overtime, here i come.
