  2. its a eclipse 5030 yes ive tryed everything maybe its just sensitive to sound becuase ive never had this problem before unit i put this hu in im going to try a filter i also bought a capacitor because i heard that those will filter the whine but that didnt do anything so it must not be comming threw the battery power with im guessing its getting the noise threw the ignition or constant wire then i thought it was my amp so i even bought a different amp and nothing changed still noises i should of bought a headunit instead of a amp
  3. i get this noise of of the speakers even when the engine is not started its like a blurry kind of noise it happens as soon as u turn the volume on its like if i turn my computer speakers all the way up that fuzzy noise and then i also have a slight alternator whine all my stuff is hooked up right ive even tryed multiple amps so the amps are not the problem im thinking about getting a inline noise filter not the rca type cause its not my rcas and its not the amp could my headunit be defective it was a used one ibought
  4. i checked the fuse it was still intact it just looked melted a bit i put in a new fuse and the headunit still wouldnt turn on i checked all the cars fuses too non were blown i dont understand how it could of broke all wire are hooked up ill go back and check all the fuses again its deffinatly broke its smells fryed this will teach me to disconect the negative battery next time i work

  7. i was installing a voltmeter today and i ran a power wire for it from the front battery threw the firewall and up to around where my headunit is the wire was 8g so i just hooked everything up to see if it was working everything worked fine then i moved the headunit and that power wire touch the back off my headunit it sparked and now the hu wont work i dont know how that could break it it touched the part in the back that looks like a heat sink idk what that part is for its liek ridges any way it made this terrible smell so i guess its broke i didnt like that hu anyway it was a soundstream touch screen one so for my new hu im looking for one with just buttons and volume knob no touch screen and i want something that is good for having loud bass and decent sq around $150
  8. ur amp might be grounded fine but ur front battery might not
  9. delete this one
  10. sub arrival my car the box will only fit from sliding it in threw the back seats i had to make some clearance for the subs
  11. jacob is getting them either today or tomorrow and then they ship us so if u are lucky u might get them this week but deffinatly u will have them next week
  12. i should use the dmm for the subs right i heard your supose to take the ohm load multiply it buy the rms watts then find the square root and thats the volt u set it at
  13. so if i wire it like this if im going to set my gains with a dmm would it just be 2ohm x 420 or do you have to do somthing different because its 2ohms x 2
  14. its these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_24012_Soundstream+SC-6T.html
  15. im using an old amp crossfire cfa 30 hc 2 ohm High Power- 210 watts x 2 High Current- 120watts x 2 yea that could work out i never thought of wireing them like that i just always thought of doing all 4 together yea u can do 2 seperate i never thought of that what would happen if i wanted to add another pair of speakers it would have to be .5 ohm right this amp is .5 ohm stable too no if i add more speakers it would be liek this right 1 ohm on each channel idk these 2 channel things confuse me
  16. yea i have 4 4 ohm speakers and they are 80 rms a piece but the amp a have is 320x2 so im wonding if i put all the speakers on 1 channel would it give them 320 watts or 640
  17. i have a 2 channel amp and it says it puts out 320 watts at 1 ohm x2 so if i have 4 speakers rated at 80 watts a piece can i just put them on 1 of the amps channels and it will put out the power they need is that how it works and its the other 320 watts on the other channel not used please help
  18. yes i like it but i know people would say shit about the little gaps
