  1. Well. I have been trying my own research but I'm having trouble finding something I like, if you want to just give me a list if a few good amp companies that would be helpful. I just know I can get a really good price on hifonics.
  2. I'm thinking about buying a Fi Btl N2 and I was looking at amps and it seems like hifonics is a good brand from what I have seen and read. I was just wondering wether I should get the brutus or the hfi series. I need to run around 2000 watts. Both the Hfi and Brutus amps are class D and say they are used for subs. So I was just curious on what your opinions are.
  3. It is a little confusing, are you basically saying i need to put a few wooden braces going from top to bottom to make sure twisting in the box doesnt occur? or is the structure a bit more advanced than that?
  4. About those bracing tips . Haha. I'll need em
  5. About those bracing tips . Haha. I'll need em
  6. Well, ill need to check that out, my opening size should be big enough for me to slide it in length ways then just turn it once its inside. But thanks a lot, this is a lot of help and i would have ended up screwing it up if i tried to get these dimensions myself.
  7. Its a huge trunk ^^ Just to ball park it i have atleast 45" wide and PLENTY of depth, so you have alot of room to work with, thanks man.
  8. Can anyone anwser MY questions please? Im the op and it would be nice :S
  9. Alright, now i dont want to seem like i want everyone else to do my work for me, Iv just never built a box before... iv been trying to read up on how to measure the inside volume and the port ect. But I really dont understand it :S.. Now refering back to the suggested cut out sheet by Fi, i can keep all the dimensions the same except for the 22" height, the max i can make it is about 19". With that in mind how would i be able to change the box so i can keep it at the 7.00 cubic feet.. Sorry again, i dont want to seem lazy i just really cant wrap my head around it right now.
  10. Oh my, it seems we arent even talking about my setup anymore ^^ haha
  11. Alright well to the people who say i should get a 15 instead of an 18, the box will only have to be 3" shorter, im sure i can make up that volume by increase the depth, it really wont be that hard... its a full size trunk, i can fit atleast 2 dead bodies
  12. Why would you get a warning
  13. Well. First off I will be facing the sub outward. And my seats don't fold down. But I think I'll make a port where my middle back seat is. I'll figure out something to make It work
  14. I can make room . Just gotta wait for some extra cash
  15. Yeah, ill do my best ^^ Was previously thinking i should get two 12's but with the price of the extra sub, and amp, it wasnt worth it. Plus the 18" has more cone area
  16. Alright, sounds good. Thats what i was thinking about doing i just dont have any experience with building my own box and iv heard its basically the most important part so i didnt want to screw it up.
  17. Ok, so iv decided with my price budget that it would be best to get one 18" Fi BTL. The only problem with that is I have a 2004 Impala, and the recommended box cutout is a little too big. It says the height should be 22.5" but i only have room for around 19" max. Would those couple of inches really be that big of a deal? or do you have other suggestions on how i should build my box? I have plenty of room for Width and Depth, its only the height that seems to be an issue.
  18. Ok so, now all i really need is my amps. I have heard a lot of amazing things about rockford fosgate thats kind of why i wanted to get them, but if i have to build the box around the ssf of the amp im not really sure if i would be able to do that because i dont really have the knowledge. Ill be the first to admit it, i know nothing about good amp companies so ill start doing some research, but if a few of you could point me in the right direction that would be cool.
  19. I understand that the box and install are very important.. Only thing that sucks is i don't live close to any good car audio stores. So what I'm thinking is that I'll do a lot of research on how to build a proper box and build it myself
  20. Well.... im enjoying the flaming im getting -.- but whatever. i already said i dont have much experience but thanks anyways. And the reason i want to get the BTL's now, is because i dont want to keep spending money on simple things when i know i will just want something better, thats why i decided ill just save up my money until i have enough for my BTL's. Im fine with my system atm but these are just my plans for further down the road.
  21. Thats strange, Steve Meade is running those exact amps, and he has videos of his subs hitting at 21hz?
  22. Ok.. Is ssf the subsonic filter? Cause I'm pretty sure it's adjustable
  23. What's sff? Sorry im pretty new to this stuff
  24. Now . Would it be bad if I ran an Fi btl off of 2500.1bd Rockford fosgate? I know it's a bit over the rated rms but Iv heard that a lot of people do over power them.
  25. Ok thanks for the flame ///M5. But alright. I guess I'll try my luck with the BTLs. Thanks a lot. All I need to do is figure out what amps im going to get. Any suggestions? I was looking at rockford fosgates. But they don't make a 2000 watt amp .
