They cannot take the 1500RMS power very well, the Coils heat up FAST, and I want to get a QUALITY sub instead of these.. I need someone to build the boxes, so its not something I want to experiment with.

1.25cubic feet per sub ported. Thats all i know. It is prefab

I have two Kicker 12" L7s, I absolutely hate the sound quality they have, but the SPL is OK. I am looking for a SINGLE 18" Sub, what would be the best? I want it to be louder than the kickers, but sound a lot better SQ wise. Would the Q18 be louder than two 12" kicker L7s?
