SSA Xcon or FI Q
Q will take a beating fully loaded for sure... It'll take that amp as long as you dont clip it. But i would try out the Xcon.

Looking for a new setup. Ideas?
Did you ever look at the Fi Q's ? Excellent SQ and great output. As for components i have heard the Rf's before and they sound really nice. About the hairtrick it maybe depends on sub and port positioning. You can never underpower a subwoofer either... Depends more about the install...

Looking for a new setup. Ideas?
Or like suggested before.. Some Fi Ssd's would be pretty cheap and you will get great subs.

Out of the subs you listed i would go with the Icons. They seem like great subs that sound good and can get loud.

Fi vs jl
A W6 can get decently loud. But a BTL is sonething else. Capable of doing 147+db on single 12"!! Trying to get high #'s with sealed box and SQ oriented woofers isnt the best idea.. Btl's would be my choice.

Help on burp box for 2 Fi 15's
Supp' SSA!! I am looking to build a higher tuned box for my 2 15" Fi Audio Q's. ( I know they are not made for spl) just for fun... I do 148.1db @ 45hz (30hz tunning) but looking to see what higher tunning will do. For some reason i always peak at 43-45 hz with diferent boxes/tunning and a friend also peaks at 45hz with diferent boxes on 2 12's. Is it the Tahoe's peak or something?. Both are 01/02 Chevy Tahoe's. If i tune a box to 43-45hz will it help because of what i peak at ? Thanks for the input.

How is that AQ taking the 3k strapped?

KICKER cvx 12" ported VS. 2 sealed 12" L7
I would go with the 2 L7's. Sealed can have a good amount of output depending on car/enclosure/power/etc. Your gaining 750 watts from what you have now... Why not go for the deal.

Subs for my tahoe! Advice?

Subs for my tahoe! Advice?
My friend runs 2 Skar's and they make some damage. I would also consider trying out the Skar's in a custom box.

Subs for my tahoe! Advice?
Best buy has that enclosure/subs to listen to. You should go check them out to see how you like the sound before you buy.

Two Fi Q 15"
Good luck with your sub choice man keep updating on what you get.

Two Fi Q 15"
Maybe people like saying they have "bigger subs" ?
-
Two Fi Q 15"
Exactly what i was thinking... I know a guy doing 152 db with 2 12's in a car. 2 12's can give you great results.
-
Two Fi Q 15"
I would personally go with 2 12's. In case you ever wanna compete you have more room for enclosures to test and work with. (butt these are Q's so im guessing SQ is what you want?) either way you wont be dissapointed if things are done right.

Two Fi Q 15"
Do not use this box for 2 15" Q's. It is way to small, after port and sub displacement it will be 4.8ft^3 @ ~37hz. Yea it is small but fitting a bigger box will be a little more difficult to fit through the trunk opening? Thats why i kinda went smaller & frgt to factor in port dicplacment () hehe

Two Fi Q 15"
Ohh alright. 8 cubic feet will wourk out way better. And an 18 wouldnt be bad for an impala.
-
Two Fi Q 15"
ok so for a box i got some dimensions ... Width=35 inches (To give you some room to work with from the narrowest part of trunk) Height=17.5 inches Depth=25 inches (But you can add more if you want...) Box Volume=7.289 Cubic ft Gross Port Dimensions: Width 33.5inches Height=3 inches Length= 30.38 inches Tunning Frequency 31hz Hope this helped a little. And what kind of car do you have? trunk opening will factor in too...
