EdgarCervantes's 99 4 Door Blazer
Is there a diference as to subs up port back? I know subs up port back is louder but sq wise is there a diference? For a Blazer, when youre trying to get all the space as possible you dont want to go port back (if your box is almost touching the window) because it wont have enough room to release. Port up subs up work great, or subs up port drivers side works great as well. Ohh yea makes sense. Whenever i tried subs up port up in other suv's it wasnt as loud. But blazers are diferent. Either way this bish is loud!

HDC3 15 ??
I just heard my friend's DD 9500's and they sounded alot like the HDC3. Kinda skips some notes. Like the bass is more of a head punch than a back masage. They dont like lows. The dd and aq have similar baskets and i think motors as well.

orion hcca 12 backet getting hot????
Hcca's tend to throw the heat to the basket. I would have this same thing happen to me and get worried but nothing really happened. Just like an mtx 9500 throws the cones heat off to the surround. Theirs some weird subs out there XD

Orion HCCA 12"
And subs up port back works well in suv's not sure about cars

Orion HCCA 12"
Noone can really conclude what you will peak at because it mostly matters on the car/box. You can tune to 20hz but it can be peaking at 55hz. Try out diferent boxes and get it on the termlab so you can know what works best for you.

which amp for sound stream xxx-15
Ive owned a SS xxx 15. I can tell you it will take 3.4k without a problem. My friend's fi btl would start to heat up and stink from the same amp same gain settings. And the Soundstream Dtr1.3400 is a great amp. I am still running one. Outperformed a crunch gp3000 (that does rated) on the termlab.

orion hcca 12 backet getting hot????
When i bumped my HCCA it would also do that. Its normal heat decipating (or whatever you call it) from the voice coil.it gets hot inside the box and inside the car. Thats all.

Orion HCCA 12"
I have personally owned an orion hcca. A 10.2 to be exact. It can get loud and take stupid abuse for a longgg time! As far as SQ it actually sounds good. It has a very tight bass output but plays high and low freq well. The bad thing is that it weighs a ton and is not too efficient.
