Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I am like Seth. My tools make my money. I have ALWAYS bought Snap-On, Cornwell, and Proto. I just happened upon a deal one day for the Gearwrench and started using them at work and I have been so happy with them, I kept them for work and took my expensive tools home. My work involves a lot of water, sewage, and corrosive chemicals, and in a lot of places, if you drop your tool, it's going into a pit to never be seen again. After losing a few ratchets, sockets, and wrenches, I searched for something more, "throw-away." While I don't consider the GearWrenches, throw away, I could not pass them up for the price, and they take everything I throw at them on a daily basis. Perhaps I like them simply for the value they represent, but I know if they can survive what I put them through, it should easily handle what you plan.

So, it's all a matter of perspective.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I'm 35, single, never been past a bordering state of IN, hell never been further than 7 hours drive time from home, I work 70-80 hours per week and get paid for forty. I take vacations to do work I otherwise don't have time for. Sounds like a boring life, BUT, I have a beautiful son that is my life now and that's what I live for. My life is strictly to make his happy and fulfilled and to raise him to become a good man.

The ratcheting mechanism in all your ratchets and ratcheting wrenches is imported. There is only one manufacturer in the U.S. who makes their own ratcheting mechanism and that's Cornwell. Others assemble in U.S., but do not fabricate.

I will never againbuy Craftsman tools aside from their knives. See if you can find a loal Gearwrench dealer to compare to the Crapsman. You may like them more, but my tools make me money and my money is on the Gearwrench stuff.

This is strictly speaking for everyday use "normal" hand tools. I'm a bit of a Proto snob when it comes to finer stuff.

I don't know how soon you need it, but having used a myriad of tools and working at Sears, I will never again buy Craftsman. Better can be had for your money, and what I buy now is all Gearwrench/KD tools. To give you an idea, I recently re-purchased a set after mine was stolen. http://www.nationaltoolwarehouse.com/216-pc-SAEMetric-6-12-Pt-Mechanics-Tool-Set-Multi-Drive-P160848.aspx Try the Craftsman shit, then try these. I guarantee you'll never touch Craftsman again. To further that, I have purchased their (Gearwrench) new 120 tooth ratchets and they, IMO, are better than my Snap-On Dual 80s, and those are some of the best ratchets ever made. I love Snap-On tools. I purchase hand tools as you do knives, and I think you'll find much better quality and value in the Gearwrench? KD Tool stuff.

DSP's and REAL amplifiers
Tru has always been outrageous. They're like the home audio crowd. A couple small differences and they think they are magic and warrant a ridiculous price. That amp posted IS copper plated though, and I'm sure that is not cheap, but still not worth the extra money.

Yes, that is a pure gain block and what is even better is each channel is independently adjustable.

Yep. . . Then I SHOW them twice and if that doesn't work, I just give up. Two days ago, I threw in the towel at work. Told the Bossman I want to go back to being a mechanic and not have to worry about anyone but myself.

I was going to ask this as well, but Google is faster. It's another "look at me," site.

Wht tool are you planning on using to cut? That is some very thing material.I was going to cut the tube on the miter and planned on clamping the sheet to the miter to make its cut.I would sandwich the flat between two boards when cutting.

I had a horrible experience with them, but this was way back in '01.

So, my wrap came in and I chose to go cheap ($33 vs. $200), and fuck the cheap shit. It's very stiff and does not follow a compound curve well like the 3M stuff. Guess I'll just dip it.
