Building a silly van.
Do a test first. With the subs in the middle of the van you are likely to experience severe cancellation issues. You usually want tge drivers as far firward or rearward as possible.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Dammit, winter is coming and I REALLY don't want to drive my Town Car in the snow. It's so fucking clean. I don't like working on rusty cars. The truck is already rusty, so maybe I'll drive that bitch into the ground. Just gotta get some snow shoes and some ballast.

Music streaming with iPhone Bluetooth vs usb wired
First off, it has a limited bandwidth, much like FM radio. It cannot deliver full spectrum. Well, I suppose that's bad wording on my part. It's not DESIGNED to have full bandwidth. Also, it is compressed, so there is another issue to deal with.

I love how you mention safety. I thought this was going to be the hard part, but I think once they see what these things can do with their bare eyes, I think the point gets across right away.

Best lithium battery setup for 4k?
I hate to say it, but I don't think you'll find that answer here. Must of us that are left would never have the use, nor spend the money on a lithium battery.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I never even thought of shotguns as fun aside from blowing shit up. The redundancy of skeet and trap does not appeal to me, but the clays are a different game. I just hope I don't get too hooked because these guns get stupid expensive in a hurry.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
The Weatherby just came in too, so hopefully I can put some shells through it on Sunday. Going tomorrow to get a quote on some Cerakote on my 938, and check out a couple 1911s.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
So I'm really getting into these sporting clays here. They are super fun and intoxicating.

Good 4 channels?
So what I'm gathering is the DC looks cooler than the Kenwood? I mean obviously aesthetics play a huge role, so if you simply like one for it's looks and the specs are similar, by all means, go with the one you find more visually appealing. As for the crossovers, I would always choose active over passive if you have both available. Active is done electronically and often before the signal is amplified, so it tends to yield a "better" response. Passive, IMO, I would never mess with in-car because it's far too daunting, and just an art form that takes years to master and that mastery is lost in the automotive environment.

Nice to see you back! Do you still have a lot of Design Reference stuff?

Good 4 channels?
There's no such thing as a "competition" amp. It's just marketing jargon. There's not a soul on this forum that will suggest you buy anything from skar. Personally, I would have kept the Kenwood. Damn fine amp. There's nothing wrong with name brand big box stuff. In fact, it's more likely to have a higher resale value. If you mention the name Wolfram, or DC Audio, chances are you will find very few people whom have heard of them before. Not the same can be said for Kenwood. Just my $.02.

I do need to find a place that is high-velocity friendly though.

If you're ever down here, we can go blow some shit up!

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Yup, it's Gavin. He is on a skeet and trap club for the past two years. That's how I got interested in the sporting clays.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Ordered a nice Weatherby today. Gonna try my hand at sporting clays.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I've driven several. They're not exciting by an means, but very utilitarian and economical. That's the entire point. I would not call my experiences with them awful by any means.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
So I've wanted a Scion xB since they first came out. Found one in Envy Green for a decent price. I have absolutely NO need for another vehicle, and would really like to get some work done on my T-bird, but I still have a desire for this thing. Kinda torn here.

Start at 0. If the tweeter is too much, go to -3.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Hey, I didn't blow it up. It was all of it's own accord. It was problematic from day 1. I only purchased it because it was cheap and had a 2 year warranty. Didn't think I'd be returning it so soon though. I'm not really sure I can bring myself to spend over $600 on a HU either.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
SO I tried out a Jensen HU because it was $400 cheaper than the Kenwood I wanted. Well, it didn't work out too well. It blew up Saturday and started smoking in my dash. Luckily, Crutchfield is handling it all for me, so I can't complain about that, but DO NOT use Jensen products!

Need help adding amplifier to this system
I would try that or just make up my own DIN to RCA converters.

Need help adding amplifier to this system
There is literally a set of RCA outputs on the amp. They are labeled, "out." Simply run from there into your other amp and you are all set. There is no DIN output on the amp, so why would you need to go from DIN to RCA or anything in between?
