Only problem is you're not seeing the buildup inside the ductwork, on the components, or your lungs.

Nope, fuck that. Additional weight, complexity, and cost I neither need nor want.

Buy a good pleated filter and change it as needed. The re-usable or electronic filters just aren't worth the hassle and they accumulate a lot of shit. Really, if you can get a tin knocker in there, I suggest a good 4 or 5 inch pleated filter. Also, if you have carpeting in your home, have it PROFESSIONALLY cleaned at least every 6 months. Carpet is the largest filter in your house.

Subs what direction to face box!

You can set the filter that high, but if the drivers are rolling off before that, you may never reach that high.

But of course they fuck it up with a hybrid. Just like on the 3 you can't get AWD with a manual.

Subs what direction to face box!

So here's what I got. Sub and vents to rear obviously. This is decently loud and only receiving 150 watts from an NVX JAD900.5 The sub channel is wired at 4 ohms, but it's damn loud in the car. No bass boost or anything. I don't find any need to alter the firing positions here. I have great response and zero cancellation. Rattle is minimal, but I'm not exciting much air here either, so you may experience more.

I'll let you know tomorrow. Installing the box in my nephew's '06. It will be with the driver and ports rear-facing. Once I set the enclosure in place, I thought it might be better to do sub up, ports back. Will find out soon enough.

Funny you mention that as I have 3 in the works. A Jag V12, 4V modular Ford, and Audi 4.2.

Caught it first try. It did, however, take two hours to fish it through the plug hole. I guess it's time to build a couple of the engines I have lying around. The rate things are going with my vehicles, I should probably have something on hand ready to plop in.

WERD! S good straight edge and a circular saw with a good blade has served me well for 30 years. I had a $1500 table saw for years, but it actually took longer just to get everything set up.

So my convertible dropped a cylinder a couple weeks ago. It felt like a coil pack, so I pulled plugs on the driver side to get an idea. All the plugs were good, but one was a little too clean so obviously it had some spark issues. Today I went to install new plugs and coils. Driver's side goes cake. I get over to cylinder one and I notice the plug is loose and there is a piece of metal down in the well. I tried for two hours to get the piece out to no avail. It was wedged under the seat of the plug, was sticking up just enough that I couldn't seat the socket on it. SO, I ground down one side of the socket, got the plug out and no sooner did I remove the plug and the piece fell down into the cylinder. I've tried all manners of vacuuming the thing without success. I'm kinda stuck right now. I REALLY don't want to pull the engine just for a motherfucking piece of debris. This is so my luck with this car. Every simple task on this has turned into a nightmare.

5 lug swap parts for the T-bird. The car was a total mess, but it had all new suspension parts. What would have cost me over a grand, only cost me $300 and 5 hours pulling it off.

Also, I haven't shopped here in a while, but 1000 bulbs used to be a very good online store for lighting.

Amazon is loaded with them. They're also available at any home center, hardware store, etc. Like Sean stated, you can just wire in a plug also. There are small whips available for this purpose. Again, you can find them on the net or home center.
