I should have clarified. I was referring to caulking when I mentioned sealant, not a paint or something. I was talking about the crack you were referring to. The epoxy works great on concrete as does polyurethane paint which is essentially truck bed lining. If you have a local Line-X, see if they have a portable unit and have them come out and spray your shit.

I keep my ride in a protected garage too. My most fears is staying at hotels while i'm asleep. You don't need any more batteries. All you need is a relay wired in for use for the stereo when the ignition is not used. The output from the alarm triggers the relay, and voila. Pretty simple.

Water is a bitch! I have seen it travel up a window sill from surface tension. Very hard to control, bu a true mason knows exactly how to handle water.

The water will go right behind paint and the mortar. Use a polyurethane sealant. It's the only thing that will work on brick, concrete, mortar, etc. . .

You are correct sir. It will only work above 25 IIRC. IMO, a simple switch discretely mounted is a better idea.
