  1. Last Sunday we were supposed to get a foot. We got 1" and it melted hours later.
  2. Everything I've read on them leads to shortened life.Just shorter coil life? I'm in a bind for cash and as long as it won't hurt the truck.... I may have to go with something cheeper for now.:-( Pretty much. Why are you dead set on replacing them all? Just replace the bad one.
  3. From Windsor?

  5. I had the LCY 108s in my car for a while. Replaced the ribbon element a couple times too and they were the largest pain in the ass to install. I loved them though, but there is nothing special they do that can't be accomplished using a standard dome tweeter. No offense OP, but I think you are stuck on price and marketing here. The sound of the $5-7K Utopias can easily be duplicated with a $20 driver.
  6. Because they are the best place to buy OEM Ford parts. Cheap, quick, and honest.
  7. OEM MotorCraft only. They are the only ones that seem to hold up and actually work. Go to any forum and you will see the stories of people who swayed from MotorCraft and how they just ended up spending more in the long run. You'll also find some interesting reads on the "performance" coils. That is so interesting. On 2 of the truck forums I am on they almost all used the globals.I will look more into the "performance" thing. I didn't understand how they could be any better, but I wouldn't have expected them to be worse. Motorcraft plugs are nearly twice the price. So for a set of 8 I'm looking at nearly 400 bucks. Call Tousley Ford in White Bear Lake. I ordered some last year at $37 each.
  8. And Seth beat me to it.

  10. Sean is always good for a laugh.
  11. Can I ask where you got your information? I have been using FG for years and had a very in depth discussion with a vendor many moons ago about the differences between resins, and was informed there is wax in ester resins that floats to the top to cover the uncured layer of resin left behind. Im not saying you are wrong, but this is contrary to everything I've ever heard about ester resins.
  12. Does it smell really bad? If so, it's polyester. It's a general layup type material. If you can afford it, you will like working with epoxy much better. It's expensive, but more stable, predictable, doesn't stink, and holds up best to heat and chemicals. FYI, if using the polyester or vinylester, there is a layer of wax once cured, so you have to sand this before applying another layer or finishing with paint, etc. .
  13. What resin are you using?
  14. Why do you want an Epicenter?
  15. More importantly, make sure you allow enough time to cool properly.

  18. at least I went straight to your topic and posted in there so you knew I was talking about you. I'm glad you put the story out here though so everybody knows what actually happened instead of assuming like I did. I'm sorry for that Steve and for what went down with the teamYeah that's not the whole story wish somebody would get it straightDoesn't matter. It's between Steve and Mark. Everyone else needs to mind their damn business.its always better to know the whole story that way the bad guy isn't made out to look like the good guy. Because of what Steve said is correct then it really makes SSA look bad, but if its like I originally thought then I shouldn't be apologizing to Steve for what I originally said. The only one whom looks bad is the idiot which keeps jumping to conclusions and really has no idea about any of it.

  20. Yeah, I don't know what's going on here, but let's keep it off the forum please.
  21. I see your point(s). Me, personally, I don't consider anything a sport that does not have athletes. This could be a fine line though. Many don't consider motor racing a sport, but the training those guys do, and the g-forces and endurance they subject their bodies to is similar to traditional sports, so they are athletes in my eyes. Then we have well, fishing, bowling, golf to an extent, curling, ha.
  22. because its better than the kids these days always saying they fucked your mom???im not following you . I think we all have that problem with him. He is in a different world.
  23. so fishing is a sport but usaci is not ? Fishing is NOT a sport. Wait, do YOU consider fishing a sport?
