Damn the black wheels on a black car. I LOVE black cars; IMO, there is no better color for a car, but not with black wheels. Monochrome on black is just not right. At least he didn't get it painted in satin or flat.

We need pictures of this. FULL RESOLUTION! And when you get the serp belt back on, get some naughty exhaust note movs as well! Who doesn't love a high revving V12?

Like? Have you watched the other playoff games? Indeed I have. Don't get mad; he's not that good. He's getting hot at the right times and getting help by poor defensive performances. Just like Eli with his rings.

Paint for wall
I wouldn't attempt to strip it. I would wipe the gooey, sticky parts with acetone. That will remove the bad stuff. Then scuff, clean, and repaint.

Paint for wall
How old was the paint? Latex is water-based so it should have been completely dry in a matter of days even in the cold. My paint of choice for something like this would be a catalyzing paint, but you can get similar results cheaply using enamel. I would add some hardener to it for increased durability and quick dry times. If you have a Rural King nearby, they sell a good cheap enamel by Majic along with hardeners.

It's got an air suspension. This is common on aged Lincolns and people don't want to spend the money to repair it. You can find coil systems for the for about $400, but with a car like that, it's not worth much more than the coil system, so many just don't bother.

Thanks for the info. I was just going by what the CW dealer told me. I found it odd he would recommend me another brand, but he's a preacher and a really good guy.

I don't know if you're concerned about names, but the Cornwell guy told me the other day that all the big manufacturers get their carts made at the same place to pretty much the exact same specs. He had a Matco and Snapon cart on his truck with his Cornwell cart and all were identical. They even had parts with the same stamping numbers. Anyways, he told me if you want to save some cash to find some Sunnex (sp) cabinets online. He said they're about $100-$200 cheaper even if you factor in shipping. I haven't searched yet, but my father has a Sunnex cart he's had since the 80s for all his body work tools.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Drove one with my mom a week ago. Holy shit boring. $39k in the format we looked at as well and for cars in the $35k-43k range it was the last one on the list. There's nothing better than a boring car for a daily driver. Couldn't disagree more. Even if I did agree the Venza makes no sense in that regard. Uber expensive for what it is and boring. It's in my price range, so I don't find it expensive; it also has everything I want/need from a daily. I like boring daily drivers. They are simple and for someone who fixes shit all day long, the last thing I want to do is come home and have to fix shit. I will have a toy so there is no need for anything fancy for a DD $40k is a ton of dough for a car. I barely paid more for the ML which has required no wrenching. I also have no faith in the newer Toyota's for being reliable beyond anything else. I'm not buying brand new. I will only buy Ford vehicles brand new since I get them so cheap. Yeah, fuck $40K for a Venza.
