  1. Thought that could only be done by battery removal. . . good to know, thanks!
  2. Never pay cash. Do you have a receipt?
  3. Yeah, that is illegal. Contact your CC company for a chargeback and/or seek legal counsel.
  4. Can't be that. Cmos has it's own battery.
  5. He needs a Stanley fat max tape measure, best tape out there. The 16 and 25ft are the best, 30 sucks. You can say that again. That 13' standout is pure BS. Thank goodness I didn't pay for mine.

No, all idle adjustment is done electronically and/or with a screw on the throttle body. Now, you can jerry rig some shit and effectively shorten your cable opening the butterfly. You can get a chip with two or more tunes loaded so you could use that as a switch. Or you could use the easiest tool of all, your foot.
  7. I just googled. Got my HP board from Ebay with free next day shipping for $100. The Gateway board was a bit more and harder to find. Before you buy, let me check my dad's stash. People scrap fully functional laptops all the time and he often has hundreds of working laptops.
  8. It's not booting or anything so he won't be able to do any of this.
  9. My previous two laptops did this. The second one, the one I am on now, I just replaced the motherboard on. Mine went into hibernation and just as yours, worked for a second, then went stupid. According to my numerous Google searches, it got hot somewhere and melted a solder joint. People have had luck by blocking the heat sink vents and letting it warm back up in hopes of reflowing the solder, then shutting off and letting cool again. I tried this to no avail, so I was forced to buy a motherboard.
  10. They've opened up here too. It's been wierd though. We seem to get 2-3 inches, then the next day it will be sunny and warmer and melt, then snow again, then melt, etc. . . Been doing that for a couple weeks now. Hasn't really gotten cold either. It was down to the 20s a couple days ago, but no wind,so it was tolerable.
  11. Nope. I still have to bring my new snowblower home from my parents' house, so I told the clouds just to dump it all on you.
  12. If either of them fails due to being pushed, it will all be due to the idiot behind the volume knob. It has nothing to do with the driver itself, just how you control it.
  13. Where you been hiding?
  14. So I helped a lady out of a ditch tonight. She couldn't figure out why her AWD Denali could not get out. I told he it's because she has 26" wheels with rubber bands on them and they don't work well in this weather. She just could not wrap her brain around it. She kept saying, "but it has four wheel drive."
  15. WTF happened to the smiley?
  16.
  17. I would love something two wheeled, but my balance isn't always great, I have a thing for speed, and for saying to myself 'okay I took the curve at 55 last time, lets try 65. That 35 mph sign is for bad weather/pussies/women.' and that is a recipe for death. J I never even thought of that. My sinuses are always so fucked up, my equillibrium is often in it's own world. Would make riding a bike rather, uh, challenging. Fuck it, four wheels it is.
  18. I'm thinking of something on two wheels, but I don't have a death wish.
  19. Keep that shit. We got 3" and the idiots on the road are driving me nuts.

I think that's his plan. He wants some power for them when rocking out, but still wants to use them as mains for HT.

The Onkyo should be more than adequate. CVs are very efficient.

What are you trying to with said amp?
  24. LAst time I was in there, they still sold Punch amps. I just bought my JBL GTO from BB and they are solid. There's more stuff out there besides Alpine, not that there's anything wrong with Alpine.
