I like to isolate my amps, but it's not a necessity. While there is a load of pain there, I guarantee you have continuity to ground through those brackets. I highly doubt that to be the issue.
The issue might be with your HU as well. Pioneer has has an issue the past several years with fused on the RCAs,

Ok so I tried on some new shoes today and they felt very nice. The only problem is my long toes, but these fit very well. The funny part was my wife laughed when the guy sizing me up said boy your toes are long. Any how I got the ones on sale for 53.99 and he said after 30 days if I do not like them I can return them. So far I am liking them.

I looked at these types of "shoes" several months ago when they were first mentioned here and all the ones I found were around $100. Where the hell are you guys finding them half off?

So I 'm going with some undergrads tonight to help them tune on their turbo Miata Grassroots car.
Unfortunately for them their VP with the NIStune software is MIA and they need to get the car running better pronto. They are running about 10 on their AF and suffer severe bogging and flooding when letting off the throttle. They are going to try to do some tuning without the computer by changing boost pressure and stuff. Any tips that I should give them? From what I know it seems like they are just rich overall and are not backing down the full enough on decel. So to me it sounds like something that they will need to tune the ECU for, but if they are willing to try whatever it takes and I get to see the possible carnage then I'm game
, but I figured I would help as much as possible. What EFI, what program, and need more specifics.
From what I remember, VG30 in a Mazda Miata with an RX-8 rear diff. Using NIStune software on what looks to be a stock ECU. Single front mount turbonetics currently pushing 5 PSI and looking to up it to 11.
I can get more, but that's all I remember.
Yeah, I don't know shit about Nissan tuning. The Mazda is close enough to Ford I can get through it, but it's really all generic when you get down to it. If they are running rich now and the spark is strong, just throw more boost at it. They've got enough fuel, so add air.

Health wins, let's eat.
Whats cookin?
Tonight was pan roasted Halibut in a garlic lemon sauce with roasted tomatoes, kalamata olives, and a creamy gouda gratin with a cucumber salad on the side. Ate all that though. Not sure on breakfast. Perhaps some chocolate waffles as I have some bananas that are getting brown.
Do you know of a way to open ones pallete to different foods? I try and try and try many different foods, but find myself just not liking them. There has to be a way to change that. I would love to sit down and enjoy a mean at your house, but 90% of the stuff you mention, I never eat, nor like, but when reading your posts, they sound so damn good.

well the noise filter IS removed. Like I said, with the noise filter installed per the instructions, the radio wasnt even getting power. Maybe I got a defective filter? But I installed it on the constant 12v line, should it go on the ignition wire instead?
I read this article (http://www.termpro.c...pubs.asp?ID=121) and followed the steps mentioned to pinpoint the source of the noise, and the only option left is good ol' alternator whine that I need a filter for.
You don't need a filter for alt whine. You need to find the reason you are picking up alt whine and alleviate that. Filters do nothing other than add another possible point of interference. Ask yourself how many times you have seen a filter used for noise. I guarantee it will be less than a handful if so, they were used with lower end equipment in a less than ideal install.

Welcome to the IHoP
in Off Topic
I love chicken. I always marinate or rub, so I don't have an issue with no flavor. I only cook to 160, then let it rest.
