  1. They may not even bother you. I had one break and it was the worst pain I've ever had. Nothing would work. The narcotics barely took the edge off. As soon as they were pulled, I was fine. Just make sure you follow their instructions on cleaning the sockets.
  2. HAppy Berfday!
  3. That was me yesterday. Too much broccoli in the shakes.
  4. That's some pretty thick edge banding.
  5. good deal I thought so when I saw them. They are 12 ohm so I will need to keep all 3 together to get a 4 ohm mono load. I plan on putting them in my son's jeep. Must be nice. He was going to give them to me, but I did not feel that was proper. I told him that I had to give him something in return and that is how the beer came about. I will post som pictures tomorrow when I have more time. I had one as a standby woofer in 1 cube and it was very nice. They work great with little power and can get pretty loud when vented. you shouldn't need more than 300 watts to get that thing rockin.
  6. Between 3/16 and 1/4".
  7. They definetly make it look easy. lol. My dash pods are box carpet (felt) with no mat. The fleece works good too. With just resin its already an 1/8" thick. I'm sure the thick fleece adds thickness, but it's still just resin, mat is where the strength comes from. I guess if it's something small then it could work, but I don't see any good reason for skipping the mat, other then it sucks getting on your arms. Rebuilding my kicks in a few weeks, going to make them a little differently, hopefully they'll look better, be stronger, and sound better. I myself am not a huge fan of kicks. I like my foot space, I'm thinking of doing some new simple door pods... What will remove armor all? I can never get it off to allow me to stick tape to anything. Alcohol, denatured alcohol, lacquer thinner, acetone, etc. . . Be very careful with the stronger solvents as they can melt plastic. I tried denatured alcohol last time when I made my kicks and it wouldn't come off or stick. Hmmm. They're probably ABS then. Not much of anything is going to stick to it. I actually had to use spray adhesive once and remove it with solvent later.
  8. Happy Berfday!

Rebuilding my kicks in a few weeks, going to make them a little differently, hopefully they'll look better, be stronger, and sound better. It's not holding any weight nor is it structural, so there's really no need for the mat. I guess in that situation the drivers are small, and don't create much force, so it's fine, but for larger kick panels and larger drivers, it wouldn't suffice? It's all going to be application dependent.
  11. Good luck getting just the way you want it. Vented and some polyfil and they should sound great. I think fleece and a few layers of the woven mat are more than strong enough. The ass on the Anarchy's probably isn't helping the pods get any smaller either. Are you planing to start with seperate rings next time or a single baffle again? This was the start from the current ones: Then I found out it was just too big, so I trimmed around the edges to this: But the shape was lost and looks like shit. I think I'll make the new ones like I started with, but there won't be a space between the mid and tweeter, and I'll trim ALL the wood around the drivers. Thinking about using veneer edge banding around the edges, this will make the baffle recessed a bit, and give me room to make a grill cover. The edge banding won't be thick enough. YOu will need something with some integrity. If you have a furniture or fabric store nearby, check them for a cardboard trim.

  14. I need to cut down on the broccoli in my shakes.
  15. Fuck that. Keep that shit away! For good!
  16. We had a local sled contest last week and they just drove across the grass.
  17. That put a smile on my face. I can't see without registering.
  18. That must be one hell of a good doctor!
  19. And the reason it is corrupt is the same reason every other system is corrupt. It all goes back to the politicians.
  20. haha. yeah the mufflers that are on there are running backwards. meaning the inlit and outlit are backwards. im saving to have full exhaust put on headers back ($500 :-/) then it will sound REALLY mean haha Unless they're chambered mufflers, it won't affect the sound much and will do nothing performance wise. Do you know anything about the engine at all? Just an FYI, go to fordstrokers.com and you can get something better than the FRPP crate engine for the same price with quite a bit more power. You could easily get a 408 with some nice heads and have 500 on tap for around $5K. This is assuming you can assemble components. A longblock is going to run you more. are u talking about throwing a big block under there? lol i dont want to do no cutting on the car. thats why i dont want to go that route. plus i dont need more than 400horses . it has around 285horses now and its plenty for that car lol. but of course, just about every time i take the car out for a nice drive, there is ALWAYS a rice burner trying to race at the stoplight. i love beating them with a 47year old car it puts a big on my face haha. No, the 408 is based on the 351. Displacement is increased through bore and stroke. Trust me, once you get more power, you will continue to want more. IT's worse than a drug.

  22. Why risk your ass for little gain?
  23. Matt, how has Jack been? He's been raping Matt continually, but leaving no evidence other than Matt being completely wrecked. Every day he awakens with a new ailment.
  24. Sorry, I didn't know you were in Canada and driving a GM. Seriously though, modern gauges are very precise and reliable. Your car may be an exception given it's abuse over the years. At least it's still going though.
  25. Um, no. It's not like the gauge on a multimeter. They use stepper motors just like your gauges in your car. Does your speedometer, tachometer, or fuel gauge mess up from the bass or become less accurate over time? Nope. They don't sway or move or vibrate with bass and they don't wear out either. In fact, the gauge will outlive the vehicle.
