Yes, you were; you were driving a Celica.

Better alternative to a cold air intake
That's pretty good considering the small engine and I'm guessing you're somewhere in the area of 6K lbs?

Better alternative to a cold air intake
I thought most wideband gauges came with the sensor, my mistake. The turbo is a 70mm, I don't remember the size of the housings off the top of my head. Tuning was done by Vengeance Racing in Atlanta, Ga. And I'm sorry but as long as the 4l60e is in the truck with all that weight in the back there shall be no glorious white smoke haha. Thanks for the compliments! If your gauge came with the proper sensor, that's awesome. Most are just the gauge. What brand is it? Have your tuner increase line pressure in the trans and it should hold it fine. We did that on my buddy's Camaro and it held 500 at the rear wheels for 3 years and it got beat daily. Of course you may only be able to do that with at the valve body, but IIRC, it's adjustable electronically.

Except the waiter would have no idea and would bring him water TOO.

BTW, post some pics of that "little red" car next to the hog.

Wideband gauge is useless without a wideband 02 sensor. Not too many people know this and very few vehicles have wide band O2s. With that being said, very nice! I love turbos! What are the turbo specs? Who did the tuning and what software did you use? Just so you know, you must take a a video of a cloud of tire smoke. It's the ONLY way to prove it works.

JL Audio Stealthbox for F350???
The MVC is nothing more than a line voltage amplifier. The Cleansweep and similar processors analyze the incoming signal and process it to remove the factory processing, hence the name, clean sweep. You're left with a clean signal free of factory processing.

How about some gluten-free brew for us Celiacs?

JL Audio Stealthbox for F350???
Chances are, if you have the subwoofer, that signal will be fine. If it were me, I'd sell the processors you have now and get a CleanSweep or similar unit.

I would have covered that bitch in soot and tire smoke.

JL Audio Stealthbox for F350???
I don't know how the MVC works, so I can't comment on that, but if the stock unit is using outboard amps, you should be able to tap into a low level signal from the head unit itself. I haven't messed with any of the newer units, but I know the Mch 460 units in the Mustangs had a low level signal that you could buy an adapter for and it works great.

JL Audio Stealthbox for F350???
I wonder if there's a target frequency the stock stereo is attenuating at, and you could use the bass boost feature on the amp to null it out. With Ford it will be several frequencies, so the only way it would work is if he could adjust Q as well. Worth a shot versus spending the extra dough on a processor though. Good idea!

JL Audio Stealthbox for F350???
I'm confused what you mean on the voltage adjusting. When you increase volume, voltage will increase. What I was referring to was the EQ built into the stock stereo to attenuate the bass frequencies at higher volumes. If you simply tap into the factory signal without processing, then it will attenuate the subwoofer as well. If you are having problems with the Canadian distributor, email JL and they will kick them in the pants. They don't piss around and when their dealers aren't serving their customers, they get on them hard. Trust me, if you want JL, talk to JL. They will do whatever it takes to make you happy.

Welcome to the IHoP
Yesterday evening I was working in the driveway, had shit laid for everywhere, one minute it's light, another it's dark and I'm scrambling to put everything away. I enjoy working outside, but when it starts getting dark at 5pm it sucks. Well I guess that means winter is on the way. It pisses me off. We need more daylight in the winter, not the summer. DST is bullshit. Some areas don't observe it. I think there's a city in Indiana that doesn't. It's alright at first when it's light out on the way to work, but in a few months it'll be dark again We didn't several years ago, then they voted to change it. It was perfect before, now it sucks.

Email JL or Crutchfield. You can DO whatever you want or budget or skill allows really. Personally, if it were me, I'd remove the rear console and make my own in place of it. Also, with the factory deck, it will attenuate the bass as you increase. They do this to protect the smaller speakers. You will need some sort of factory integration processor to remove this from the signal; without it, it will do the same to the signal to you tap from for your amplifier.

That's the exact color scheme of the one I was looking at. Doesn't look bad. Rust appears to be only surface. The window issue sounds like a fuse or relay to me. Rare that either window doesn't work, but it's very possible.I'd give them $800 for it.

Welcome to the IHoP
It's not bad to work on. With the engine cove removed inside, everything is pretty accessible, far more than my truck. It was just a bitch trying to pull it out.

Welcome to the IHoP
I was trying to trade for the exact same thing last month, albeit with the 460, and the 8' bed. Interesting as I've never seen one with the short bed that generation. I know they made them from '92-'96, but not the previous gen. That should have the AOD or E4OD. Both are decent transmissions, but they are power hogs. Ford Racing has a kit too where you can switch them to Mass Air and go mod crazy. Stock will be speed density and not respond well to mods or tuning.

Welcome to the IHoP
Mini van or conventional van? Full size van. Indeed they are a big bitch, I am guessing you did a V8 then. Yeah, a 5.4 Ford. I don't know if you're familiar with the Ford Modular engines, but they're very wide and that didn't make to much fun in the cramped confines of the van's engine bay, or lack-there-of. We ended up having to cut the engine crossmember and I-beams and they only have an oxy/propane torch at the yard.

Welcome to the IHoP
As for the rust, they're pretty bad around the wheel arches on the bed, but you can pretty much buy every single part of the truck and rebuild it for cheap. There are several really good Ford truck forums as well with all the information you could ever need about them.

Welcome to the IHoP
Both are equally good, but the 4.9 has the torque edge in stock form.

Welcome to the IHoP
The ONLY issue with the 5.0, aside from the anemic stock heads, is the rear main seal. It'll make great torque down low. I was just working on my sister's truck the other day and it has 280K and has never had anything beside routine tune-up stuff.
