Welcome to the IHoP
Yeah, I need to get a receiver. I gave my old one to my dad, and I need to find something to switch at least 3 HDMI.

Crank it up! You won't wake him! I know Gavin sleeps through anything. I practically have to shake him to wake him.

220A Iraggi load tested 74A :(
He sure does.

220A Iraggi load tested 74A :(
You do know that just because an alt has the capability to produce 200 amps doesn't mean it will always be at that current level. Nine times out of ten, the cheap load testers are a fixed load just used to verify the proper function of the alternator. If you want a true rating, you have to have the proper test bench.

Man, that fucking ham was awesome! Now what am I going to do with the other 16lbs?

That testing equipment is the equivalent of using butt dyno. Iraggi's shit is hit or miss. Most of the time it's miss, and he's doing nothing more than upgrading a stator. This is/was common practice, hence you used to/still do see so many people having failures or needing to spin the alt faster with a smaller pulley.

I am going insane! I have had this ham in for 8 hours now, still not done, and I've not eaten anything since noon because I've been smelling this bitch all day. Hurry up!

Welcome to the IHoP
Ah, its new. That's why. Looks like a knock off and considering there is nothing proprietary about ceramic I don't see why that is a negative. Its listed as out of stock at 440$, but everywhere else I find it, it is listed at 700$ for the same damn thing. They had two of them on the floor at my store.

Couple of questions about Planar Transducers
I ran the Neo3PDRs in my last Mustang with excellent results, but everything I do is low (less than 500 total watts) power. They worked great, but keep in mind, these types of drivers really need to be on-axis. I can not stress that enough. The response and crossover point can be manipulated with a rear chamber and damping, but it's simply trial and error per application, so they can be very time-consuming. I also have messed with the LCY ribbon tweets when NP was selling them cheap on DIYMA and some Fountek NEos as well. I loved the ribbon drivers, mainly the LCYs. They are very detailed and crisp, but they need a GOOD midrange. I would NOT recommend them for a 2-way and they are all big and hard to implement. These are even further affected by axial mounting as well. I never had any issues with their "fragility" though. I still have the BGs and will be implementing them in a future install. Unless you have a lot of time to invest and just have to have them, you really can't beat a standard tweeter, and you appear to have plenty of room to get a good, large format driver.

Welcome to the IHoP
I was at Rural King this morning and they had a Cypress(?) Kamado grill there for $400. It looked pretty sturdy.

I'm racing in a French race right now. The only French car I have is a Veyron. My fastest challenger is in a Peugeot 205.

enclosure thickness
ALL the air is excited. There is NO flow, it is not a pump. If there were flow, it would have an intake and exhaust. As for the MDF colors, I know what you are talking about, but they are the same grade. I had this conversation twice with two different supplies for work. The color variation comes from the different wood species and binding agent mixtures.

enclosure thickness
MDF grades are distinguished by the lines on the board, not the color. And how does air "flow" through an enclosure? It is excited, it does not flow.
