  1. Those look promising. Never used Michelin before but there is always a first. Currently riding on GY Assurance Comfort tread GoodYear is shit. In fact, they are on the edge of bankruptcy due to and extreme loss of sales the past 5 years. I have had GYs on two car and both have literally been the shittiest tires I've ever used. I've used many Michelins but only because I got a deal on them. They are by far, some of the best handling and longest lasting tires I've used, and I'm not exactly easy on tires. They're just so damned expensive, but in this case, you actually get more than you pay for.
  2. I go into work this morning just to do some computer work. Of course I get bombarded by people telling me about things that are broken. Of course they cannot put a work order in, they just tell me 50 things so I can do five of them and forget the rest. Way to follow the system. So a toilet seat on a child's toilet is snapped in half in the family restroom. Get on Grainger's site to order a new one, and of course, all they have listed are standard seats. So I google to no avail. Call American Standard to get a part number or just order the part and the lady on the phone tells me they make no such toilet, even though it says right below the spud, "American Standard." SO I get on their site, check a catalog and give her the part number of the toilet. Well guess what, they make the toilet. Apparently, she was scrolling through her list and couldn't find anything because they call it a toddler toilet and I called it a children's toilet. I guess common sense is just non-existent these days.
  3. I just can't win.
  4. ORLY? I suppose if cost was no factor. WHen I went shopping I couldn't find anything plasma @ 52" or bigger that was under 2k that I liked. I got 2 sharp aques lcds instead. Plasma is cheaper than LCD.
  5. Captain and cider has me ready to sleep.
  6. It has to say something about how much of the product / service you are actually paying for when the company has three different mascot story lines running at the same time on very heavy national rotation. No shit. Are you cavemen, a gecko, or a damn stack of cash with eye balls?
  7. And seriously. . . . Enough with the Caveman and Meatload A1 commercials.
  8. I should put in my $.02 Do it!
  9. MDF or a good voidfree plywood typically or a 11 ply or greater.
  10. I'll have to take some pics of my neighbor's driveway.
  11. A wet sponge is easier than sanding IMO. By wet I mean barely damp. Done that before and will never do it again. The sponge contours you your hand an wall. I prefer to sand to get uniform pressure throughout the joint and relieve the high/low spots at the same time. My basement looked great after primer. Once I applied the paint, every joint stuck out like a sore thumb. Thankfully 90% of them are covered and it's not a public room, so I left it alone.
  12. Anything is possible. You can do that, but you have to make sure the front of the driver is totally sealed from the rear. Not exactly the best place to put it either as everything you throw in your trunk is a possible demolition tool on the driver.
  13. Any driver will work in infinite baffle. It's just not ideal for all.
  14. What the Fuck is SQL?
  15. Got my first layer of mud on the bathroom tonight. Sanding tomorrow and moving up to the 8" knife. Good thing is I used a setting compound so I didn't have to apply thinset to the cement board.
  16. Seriously understand what you are reading and being told before you reply to anything. When you reiterate something you read or have been told, but you fail to grasp the actual reality, you just make a fool of yourself. Some people on the boards don't know any better and they think you know what you're talking about, but there are also those of us who know better and try to help, but by then it's too late. Really man. . . I've been an electrician for 12 years; I've been a mechanic since I was born; I used to work for a company that remanufactured 12V electrical systems and components. I know what the fuck I'm talking about. I'm not just spewing out some shit I googled or once talked to someone about. I don't need you to try and explain how my correction of your bullshit is incorrect. I know better.
  17. It changes the polarity of the driver, or in simple terms, changes the way the cone moves .
  18. You won't need to, unless you have multiple subs.
  19. If you like them, keep them. It's all about what you like, not what others like.
  20. There are too many dumb fucks on this site!
  21. Also, when I wiped my ass, should I wipe front to back, or back to front?
  22. OKay, I need help. I bought a 10gigawatt amp with a new flux capacitor. I need to know what size fuse I need for my 50KW amp and whether I should get thirteen 15" BLs, or forty-two 10" BLs?
