  1. I was born and raised a Catholic and went to a Catholic school for 9 years, so I've seen and read it all from their point of view. The first thing they teach is that the bible can not be taken for it's exact literal meaning. You find this in many ways. For instance, most people believe Adam and Eve to be a literal single man and single woman, when in fact, the church teaches it to be man and woman in the plural sense. One sex, many humans. Cain and Abel are nothing more than a metaphor for good and evil. The bible also speaks of many wise men whom are hundreds of years old. Literally, they are stating the men to be century old humans, when in fact, age was a way to convey wisdom in biblical times. The older the man, the wiser. Of course this is different per religious sect, but the majority of Christianity follows the same concepts and very similar bibles.
  2. Hell, tow it down here; I'll have it running in an hour.
  3. Does it only do it when you are trying to start the vehicle or as soon as you turn the key? Disonnect the lead from the starter wire and try to start it and see what happens. If nothing happens, it's the starter, if it still blows, it's ignition related which probably means a leaky plug wire or coil pack. I don't know what year it is, but if it's a first gen, you should have a pair of coil packs. I know you said you had the starter tested, but that doesn't mean there's not an intermittent problem with it that comes back once it's bolted in place or a load placed on it. The problem with 99% of these "testers" is they cannot put a load on the starter. It' the same way with an alternator. The only proper way to test is with a load.
  4. Yep, definetly need a tougher material than just CF for your application. It's all about how it's made. If you don't have the proper means of production, it'll never work. CF is more than strong enough for a driveshaft. It just has to be made properly. Hell, virtually every part of an F1 car is made of carbon fiber, so that should give testament to it's strength.
  5. Riley is great! My nephew (whose name is coincidentally Riley) has to go down there every month for treatments for osteo-genesis imperfectus, most commonly known as brittle bone disease. The little guy is in great hands with some of the best doctors! I hope all goes well!!!!!!!!!
  6. PorkChop, I hope your grandson comes out of this well. I have had a lot of troubles this year with loved ones being in the hospital, and just yesterday, my best friend's grandmother passed away.

  11. Yeah, WTF is up with that? ? ! !
  12. Steel, or carbon fiber wrapped steel. One of the problems with drive shafts is not getting them to stand up to the torque, but making sure that they can stand up to use and side impacts and getting beat around. One could make a driveshaft with a paper thin wall and it would hold up to engine torque just fine, but if you hit it with a rock you would be screwed. You are not trying to use a solid shaft are you? te Aluminum is becoming more common now. Never seen carbon wrapped steel. What's the point? Thinner shaft (less weight), but with the the abrasion resistance? Doesn't seem worth the hassle or expense.
  13. It's the internet.

  15. GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 535 is sold.
  16. If it's 100% silicone it will take 24 hours to fully cure. If it's a mix, it may take longer or shorter. Read the tube. Most caulking of any type available on the market is RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) and generally all call for at least 24 hours for full cure time.
  17. You've never heard any classic Bose speakers have you? If you haven't, find some to listen to and then see how much you like the new stuff.
