How is junior doing? I had a bambino, then you, then Sean, who is next and how am I forgetting? He's freaking nuts. Non-stop energy. I swear, he would wear the Energizer Bunny out in 10 minutes. I love every minute of it though. I think Jordan's next; big married man and all.

Welcome to the IHoP
And about the solder issues, I always used to use an iron and set it down right outside the door on the side I was working on. My dumbass always seemed to place my foot on it and before you know it, right through my sandals and into my foot. I have 3 scars from that bastard. Now I just use my resistance station.

Welcome to the IHoP
Not around here being as how they get most of their tires from Tire Rack. It is nice to have their corporate HQ local. MY old man gets them at dealer cost so I save quite a bit more than what they have listed. Best part is their track days. They have a dedicated test track at their facility and every once in a while it's open to the public.

My nephew has OI. He just broke his leg for the 3rd time in 8 months yesterday. I hate that fucking disease. All the boy wants to do is play baseball and he can barely even walk. Man that would be awful. I feel bad for your nephew. I consider myself lucky as I've never broken a bone. That sounds terrible. Ouch. Couldn't agree more...........what is OI? J Osteogenesis Imperfecta, more commonly known as brittle bone disease.

Most of the national chains should have the proper equipment to do it and do it right. Whatever you do, check them before they put them back on the vehicle. They have a bad of habit of just throwing the tire on there and then weighting it where needed instead of trying to remount the tire in a better position. Ideally, you want the least amount of weights needed and spaced out instead of in one area. Large wheels and tires are usually not an issue, diameter-wise; it's usually the extreme widths that cause them fits. My old man's '90 GT has 10.5" tires on the rear and I went to 3 different places and broke 3 machines until I gave in and had to take it to Tire Rack. That's true too, didn't think about the balancing aspect. Especially if you only put weights on the inside. You broke three machines? How did they break? I haven't got a clue. The only machine I am familiar with was the one I used at my dad's old shop and it was antiquated in comparison.

Man that thing's wild. Five valves per cylinder? Extra intake or exhaust? Intake. They will always favor the intake side. Look at any vehicle and the intake valves will always be larger and or more.

Pics of my new toy.
Nope. If I do, I have to fill two holes on either side. I do have some cool ideas which involve casting resin though. Sounds pretty sick............... Since you have done a good chunk of debadging, care to do a tutorial for this section as we do not cirrently have one? Plus my wheels need it LOL J It's simple really. The stick on stuff can be peeled off by hand or with mechanical means. I like to use a bondo applicator behind and make sure the panel is wet with soapy water. For removal of the adhesive, I use a liberal amount of WD40 and elbow grease. You'll see some mechanical devices for removing stickers, adhesives, etc, but these WILL scratch the paint. Even is they claim not to, they do. They may be unnoticeable, but time doesn't heal all wounds when it comes to paint. Hell, simply rubbing your finger on a dry panel will scratch it. The first thing you want to do is decide whether or not you really WANT to do it. For darker vehicles, or white that are older, I'd suggest not doing it as the natural UV fading of the paint will always show where the emblem was. Rubbing compound or a good buff may hide some of it, but it will always be distinguishable. Then the best means of removal would be a color sand and buff, but even that's not a guarantee.

Port Area: How much is too much?
And some drivers won't even be able to excite enough air to make smaller ports ineffective either. Just use what is recommended. the manufacturers know their products better than anyone else. They make recommendations for a reason.

Rockford 18??
THe XLCs aren't that old. Very late 90s yes, but not early or mid. They did it to themselves. No one else to blame. They've all had the means to increase fuel economy by even more than that, but they chose not to and nobody cared because up until the past few years, gas was dirt cheap. It still is by comparison.

I bet the wheels weigh less than the tires. I know mine do, even with chrome on them.
