  1. Die thieves, DIE!
  2. The new driver is better in every way aside from soaking up power. With that being said, I wouldn't replace my Claws with them. There's just something about these drivers I cannot get over.
  3. I can't understand why my stuff isn't selling. Is the economy that bad or am I asking too much?
  4. Get rid of the liquid nails and use normal wood glue, nothing else. Follow Kicker's recommendations on enclosure and you'll be good.
  5. Been without music in the car for weeks. Decided tonight to hook up an old standby deck, and of course it has no built-in crossovers whatsoever. So I search the house for some caps for the tweets and nothing. Tore apart every piece of old electronic equipment I have and the only thing I have close is 100uf. I need 15uf. Dammit.
  6. Sweet! I just won a resistance soldering station on Ebay CHEAP!
  7. My thoughts exactly.
  8. Anyone else get the Tymphany newsletter?
  9. That's an abomination of a classic! I am done.
  10. Just throw a blower on it and be done with it, or find a used late-model Lightning engine to drop-in.
  11. Contact Al Poppito on corral.net. He's a 5.4 god. Truthfully, I think you're wasting your time. There's really no sense in dumping a ton of money into an Expedition to make a ton of power unless you have money just to throw away. It's just going to eat more fuel, it will never handle well, and aside from stomping some surprised street racers or being abnormal on the dragstrip, what's the point? If you want to do it and go balls out, get a 4V Navi engine, or get 3 or 4 valve heads and bolt them onto you block. I'd also get a forged bottom end, then throw whatever power adder you want on it, and get ready to start rebuilding trannies.
  12. Shit, I have an 1800 sq.ft. house and paid $117K. I can't imagine.. That shit sounds almost as nutty as California.
  13. Are you SHITTING me???!!!!!!! $230K for 864sg.ft.????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. G8? they aren't selling well so you could probably make a good deal with the dealership Ha Ha. My sister has had Pontiacs for the past 10 years and all of them have been steaming piles of shit, even though all were purchased new, so Pontiac is out of the question for me.
  15. I looked at an MB E430 the other day and noticed the build tag said "Manufactured by Daimler-Chrysler. Apparently the E-class cars were not good enough for Benz to build? I really do like that Charger though. Might have to find one to test drive somewhere. They look awful roomy. I am in need of a big car. Sick of messing around with these little shits, and aside from the CV/Marauder/Grand Marquis, Chrysler is the only other company building a full-size vehicle with V8 power and RWD.
  16. Around 4K, but it's more than enough to get it moving, trust me. That engine's rev-happy anyways, so if you're worried about needing the torque to move you around, you'll be in that area anyways.
  17. I saw that same Charger again today. Man I really like that car. If I could find one like that for about $10K, I'd scoop it up, beat the hell out of it, and sell it for $15.
  18. Sweetness! Got him pimpin subs already!
  19. Those are holding their value too well, I love the idea though and have thought about one multiple times myself. Everything that was right about the Impala SS and everything that was wrong with it has mostly been fixed. the 4.6 doesn't have enough low end for that big/heavy of a car, IMO It's only 10 shy of the Impala SS which had an additional 70 cubes helping it. Drive a 4 valve mod-motored car and then tell me what you think.
  20. Hmm, I wonder who that was.
  21. I have zero tolerance for people who are selling a product and specifically give you advice saying that it doesn't do something it can or does do something it can't. An, "I am not sure, but will check" is always acceptable but what he did is complete bullsh*t. That is the sort of thing that makes all sales people look bad and even worse if it is an owner of a store. I'd say screw that store. It is a shame he is so closed minded as well. Considering people who are using drivers such as the OP spend time on the install and making things right, he should realize that the best and most profitable thing his store can sell is installation. And since it is BY FAR the most important part of the install he should have seen the dollar signs and offered to help. Of course this is exactly part of what is wrong and killing the car audio industry as many of the people in it shouldn't be. Your last sentence says it all. It is unfortunate, but it is what it is. Funny thing is the manufacturers who support these dealers don't seem to catch on to these sort of things.
  22. Well, the Marauder I was hoping to steal has sold. Guess I'll go back to my original plan.
  23. On a side note, everyone here pretty much knows my hatred for anything Chrysler, but today at work I saw a Lime Green Charger R/T Daytona just like this one (minus the wing), and I must say, I was enamored with it. A very striking automobile! And I love green, so that only helped.
