Welcome to the IHoP
They have their place. I sure as hell wouldn't put a roots on something like an S2000. I'd run out of boost halfway through the NA plant's redline. Now a 4V modular, I wouldn't hesitate to install either one on. As for the roots vs screw debate, like I said, they are both positive displacement units, and they both compress air the same way, via screw rotors. Some people like to have their own names. I've run into people who get upset when I call a centrifugal a blower. Then have this idea in their head that it's a supercharger and not a blower. They're the same damn thing.

Actually, they sell clear vinyl sheet, so I don't see why they wouldn't have black.

yeah but if you're gonna do that you might as well put new cams and forged pistons into it as well The pistons aren't the weak spots in the mod motors, it's the powder cast metal rods. Besides, they're more than capable of handling boost if tuned correctly and you are using the proper fuel. Cams are pretty much pointless on them unless going NA, or you are looking for all the power you can get. twas as I was thinking.... I haven't heard much about the rods though.. good to know. What do you think the max HP through boost I could put through that engine without damaging the engine. I would have to use a higher octaine I supose. I didn't think of that. could hurt at the pump.... if I drove gently do you think I could eek out better MPG though? KB will reflash the ECU, and will require premium. I can tell you that your mileage will be hurt a little bit as they run a very conservative tunes which translates to a rich mixture to avoid detonation and/or going lean. Boost-wise, I'd get the 6lb kit and be done. Should put you over 400 easily at the crank, be very livable, and not eat too much fuel.

3 idq 10s vs 1 icon 15
And that's the exact response you'll get from that place. Go with one 15 and be done. Cheaper, easier, less weight, etc. . . It's easy to get loud in an SUV with an 8" driver, so don't worry about the volume.

Welcome to the IHoP
I really wish my buddy would send me the damn money for the Cobra already. I found a car I don't want to let slip away because I don't have the cash. Talk about frustrating. And people need to buy my shit!

Go with the JL then.

Need help identifying a JL...
Depends on what you are looking for. The JL will work well with low power and 1 cube or slightly more sealed. The CV on the other hand, I believe will need around 2.5 cubes at least. Let me plug the numbers right quick.

The JL is aW1 or W0, but I don't believe the W0s had the vented pole. The CV is a CLASSIC! I would kill to have a pair of XL12s in mint condition! They like larger vented enclosures only. CV specs: Type: Standard one-way driver Shape: Round Piston Type: Cone Piston: Non-pressed kraft pulp Frame: Die cast aluminum Voice Coil: 2 in, aluminum coil bobbin Fs = 30 Hz Qms = 4.443 Vas = 152.9 liters Xmax = 3.988 mm Xmax (parallel) = 3.99 mm Xmax (series) = 3.99 mm Sd = 538.6 sq.cm Qes = 0.235 Re = 3.4 ohms Z = 4 ohms Pe = 125 watts Qts = 0.223 1-W SPL = 96 dB

Active Crossovers
I don't think the guy's necessarily that bad. Not many dealers truly know their own products' capabilities, and he'll always tell you you shouldn't buy a brand that he doesn't sell. Don't read into it too much, but you really shouldn't need to go to a dealer anyways. Just follow the advice given by the members here and you can't go wrong. Well, at least with 90% of the member's advice.

wtf, fuckin retards... I'll be going to see it All I can say is, if I ever get brain damage from anything and end up retarded, I want people to make fun of me. Why would I give a fuck? I would have no clue. . Neither does anyone else aside from the people around the retarded people. They are the ones who get mad.
