  1. Let's call mythbusters. I can see this, but isn't this negated the moment the vehicle goes in motion again building a charge from rolling through the air?
  2. A cap will only properly work with a low enough ESR (and last time I checked there were on a few on the market), and to filter/stabilize the voltage. Help me out he John, I can't find the wording in my head right now. In other words, a cap is pretty much useless if not for a proper electrical system. They're marketed as a band-aid for poor electrical systems, but it's nothing more than a support system to an already healthy one.
  3. Bigger isn't always better and unless you want to spend some money, it's not worth upgrading. Don't get anything unless you need it. Try it first, if you need to upgrade your electrical system, you'll know. And looking at your sig, it seems you've already decided.
  4. Anyone have an 05 or up Mustang that wants an Eibach pro-kit?
  5. I'm sick of working. Go to work, come home and work, weekends off but always end up working on the house. Fuck this shit. What happened to my teenage years? Getting old SUCKS!
  6. WTF is a ginger kid?
  7. Interesting. Do you have to ask at the time of purchase or can you purchase first and ask later. I ask because if the former is the case they can get around it by canceling your order and refunding your money - as they did in my case. It's sort of a moot point now. While SteveFatMat hasn't actually stated that FatMat is asphalt, he has said it isn't butyl, has removed the word from the sites and says nobody will claim it is butyl over the phone. That was my primary argument with them. The facts about how asphalt performs as a sound deadener, how stable it is, etc. speak for themselves and are the reasons the word "butyl" was put on the FatMat Web site in the first place. The exaggerated claims represent a battle we can't win. If they stick to the policy of not pretending FatMat is butyl, I'd expect the product to disappear pretty quickly because; If you are absolutely determined to use asphalt you can buy it at Home Depot less expensively You will get better results using much less butyl so it isn't even a useful compromise for economy FatMat's reputation is going to be a millstone around the neck of anybody who tries to use it I would ask at the time of purchase just to make it easier. In your case, you'd have never gotten the product, so therefore no need for the MSDS sheet. It is federal law that if you ask for it, they have to provide it, IF you purchase the item. Certain substances HAVE to ship with them, but I think that's only for the most hazardous of items and commercial use.
  8. If you purchase the Fatmat and ASK for an MSDS sheet, they have to provide one by law. No way around that.
  9. Personally, I think a lot of people are taking a lot of shit way out of context here. I won't get into the personal shit here, but I don't think Rudy is arrogant at all. In fact, I think many people should be thanking him for taking HIS OWN TIME AND MONEY to help everyone else in the hobby. His tests are not perfect, but I sure don't see anyone else putting any effort in and yet I see people bashing him for his results. I see no arrogance here either. I simply see him posting the information he has found through his own testing. The way I see it, we have no right to tell him he's wrong until we do our own tests. Remember people, this is the internet and typed speech does not convey the emotion behind it, and some people are not as eloquent with words, so something may not be exactly what you read. Also realize SteveFatMat has a business to run, and he has to, at all costs, promote his product in a positive way. You can't expect the guy to fix everything overnight. And believe me, if his products does not perform, yet he still insists it is a performer, we won't see him anymore. This has happened way too many times, and these types of commmunities are exactly what we need to weed out the scum. They are also what we need to pass the good word around about the classy guys in the industry. If Fatmat sucks, so what. . . We all will know. There are other deadeners out there, two which are most commonly used by people throughout the forum land, and both owners are standup guys. We all know this. Perhaps someday, Steve will be added to the list. IN my eyes, he has earned some respect from me simply by the fact that he is still here, commenting, and not running like a cowering dog. Go pose a question on the effectiveness of edead at ISUX and see how far that goes.
  10. LMAO, true story . Friends of mine had an ultrasound done , doctor said it was a boy for the same reason. Everybody bought all kinds of chit for the expected new baby boy. They had a girl, it was a finger they were seeing lol Damn! Well, if this is a finger we're seeing, something is wrong with this kid. She moved in between the legs and there was a boner. IT was funny as hell. So if it's a finger, it's a disfigured one as the other ones are too small to even see aside from the bones. Damn you Ramos! This better not jinx me.
  11. Why did you guys just HAVE to have the Mach5 sale on the day my internet was down?
  12. Figures this has to happen on the day my internet is down.
  13. Let me know how well that core support holds up with all that metal removed. Do yourself a favor and throw some paint on those cut edges also. You'll get rust developing before you know it, and it'll seep inbetween those pinch welds.
  14. Good luck. It's nearly impossible to improve on the reputation that preceeds the name, especially amongst the DIY crowds on the forums.
  15. Thank you Gentlemen! ! ! ! Got the best birthday present I could ever get! Ultrasound showed a weiner! It's a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Yeah, but Bruce Willis isn't 80 years old.
  17. Where's the CPR team ? Working on Stallone. . . . Another Rambo????? Who is he kidding?
  18. I have a laptop dock for mine and it does little for heat dissipation. I don't know what you have, but I have a 2.8 P4 and that bitch just sucks up the battery and is ALWAYS running all 3 fans. It never really cools down either. I've had it in twice for a new motherboard after some of the solder joints melted away.
  19. Just picked up a $500 sony 5.1 system for $109 from work. Gotta love getting first dibs on closeouts at cost. Will be perfect for the computer until I can build some speaks for it.
  20. Damn, that's messed up. I'm a rep and I had to pay for mine. . . Merry Christmas Nick!
  21. Nobody here has "knocked" anything. Some of us are simply saying we like the pure side of things. Let the amp amplify and a signal processor process.
  22. Finally done wrapping presents. I hate the commercialization of religious holy days. I wish I was born back in the 40s.
  23. I am sick of being sick. . . . And my freaking insurance doesn't kick in until the first.
  24. Shit!
  25. SO, I really hate getting presents and what not, but the woman insisted on me giving her a Christmas list. I'm keeping it simple I think. Here's what I came up with that she can handle. Dual bank batter tender Powder coating gun Creative Sound CSS SDX7 (pair) Playstation 3 Scan-Speak 7" Revelators (pair) JVC receiver Compound sliding miter saw with laser
