No, Fryman was here for a long time, so we can pretty much handle all the gayness in the world.

Box Size For IXL 18
That "kick" is midbass, which a subwoofer has no business reproducing IMO. I can agree with you here to an extent. Many kick drums can easily reach 40Hz which should be handled by a sub. A snare drum can also produce a "kick" or sorts, but definitely not on the low end of the spectrum. TO the OP, remember, every application will differ and there are ways to "make the woofer" work how you want it. It's usually just easier to buy the proper equipment versus toying with it.

I see, you want to FG the bolts into the enclosure. My bad, I was thinking about to the vehicle. Personally, I don't like to trust fasteners themselves in the glass. I'd much rather tack it to a plate and glass the plate/nut/bolt in place. More surface area for a better bond and strength.

You mean nuts? You could do it, but welding is best. The FG could crack over time.

Box Size For IXL 18
Well, the size of the enclosure, vent area and tune are all needed for correct calculations. What is your intended use and power level for the driver?

What all capabilities do you need? I have an Eclipse 5303 lying around. This was a TOTL deck. Dead head. TOTL? how much? I'll shoot some pics your way later. It doesn't have a trim ring, and some of theblack is worn away from a few of the buttons IIRC. I have no idea what it's worth, so take a look at it first and let me know what you think.

Does the Infinity 1211a do rated power??
They are the same as the JBL GTO amps with a different sink of course.

Actually a 1/4" bit would be best, a spiral at that. Flutes are closer together with less chance for ripping. Or course, if you go with the grain, you won't have a problem. Another trick I like to use is to overlay the top piece with a piece of scrap. It will help to add some pressure on the top layer. I do this for drilling as well.

For all those asking about cat5 and 6 cable, I have unlimited supplies and a ton of cables with terminations on the end as well in varying lengths. We used them at work all the time, and they always send about 100% extra.

It's not all about flow on mufflers. Some vehicles benefit from more back pressure than others. Full-through mufflers are prone to higher HP numbers but lower torque numbers. The only time you ever really have to worry about flow rates on mufflers is in racing, or with forced induction. For a street car, it's all about sound. Besides, being able to expel more gasses means nothing if you can't stuff more air into it.

Fuck that. They just need to up their displacements accordingly with GM. It's big, it's heavy, it isn't super efficient, and it's super expensive to manufacture. The other problem is they just didn't keep to plans very well in the whole "mod" portion of it. Technologically it smokes the LS and Hemi's but nothing about it makes it easy to swap into another vehicle. Personally I think pushrods are a joke. It is big, compared to iron blocked-engines it's not heavy at all. Hell, the only real "heavy" mod motors are the DOHC engines, but of course, they have more material. Nothing is super-efficient from the factory, and I don't know how you consider 281 cubic inches pushing 300+HP and 300lb.FT. on pump gas and getting economy in the mid 20s not efficient. Contrary to what you may thing, Ford's modular engine family is the cheapest OHC engine family currently being produced. It's very easy to swap into other vehicles, but it's not a small-block chevy. Dammit, my battery is dying.
