Damn it's tricky to try and hop back and forth between pages and posts to reply.

No booster. It has both power steering and power brakes, but the brakes are hydraboost. Isn't that what hydraboost is though? Using pressure from the PS system to boost the brakes? Or am I mistaken here? You are correct, but, well, when you say booster, I think of the original round can booster you see on vacuum assisted vehicles. Hydraboost is more just like a valve. I used to have some good information on this, and I actually met the inventor of hydraboost braking systems once. He's good friends with a former boss and Bendix world HQ are in South Bend.

That's the new gt500 . I got to drive the shelby gt nothing but a mustang with a body kit There's a little more to it than that . About 3k worth of chit from ford extra on the shelby gt that they charge you like 15k extra for That picture is actually of the Ford Mustang GT500. No body kit. Different Front fascia and side skirts, but underhood is the BIG change. Supercharged 5.4 DOHC like the Ford GT, but with an iron block and a sumped oiling system.

I can't keep up anymore. Ever since the '05 came out, there are about 6-7 different manufacturers all offering their own versions. You have the traditional Saleen, Steeda, and Roush, then Shelby, Cervini's, Foose Designs, Unique, CDC, and others. The only one's that are original Ford's are the GT and the GT500.

I think I am done with shipping companies. I ship something last week via USPS. I get a call yesterday that it has a damaged shipping label. I call them today, and it never freaking left South Bend. And they waited four days to let me know this???!!!!

Corian. Actually, all of the solid surface countertop materials are roughly the same.

I'm assuming by your SN that you are installing all this in a 2000 Mustang. If that is the case, I'd highly suggest starting with your frontstage and adding subbass later. Deadening your doors, and getting good quality drivers in there with some power behind them will provide you with more satisfaction that you could imagine. Hell, in mine, I don't even need to run subs and I can get extension down below 30Hz just from the frontstage. Hell for $600 you can get a HU, EQ, deadening, an amp, and good speakers. That's a far better investment than subs and an amp IMO.

lowering cabin temp for better db
Cold air is denser than warm air. I am sure this will have some effect on sound, but not sure what. Sean would know.

2 IXL 18's or 4 MJ-18 in IB?
It's all going to depend on where the coil is within the gap. Displacement is key in an IB application, and I believe that with the 4 woofers versus two, you have a displacement advantage. I'm too lazy to do all the numbers with cone area and excusion taken into effect, but even then it will only show you the POTENTIAL, not actual displacement.

Welcome to the IHoP
From the great interweb I have been led to believe that the 4.6L is heavier than a 460 cast when fully assembled...but you have stemmed my curiosity. Long block 4.6 with aluminum block should be no more than 425lbs. Before going any further, can I ask why the big concern about weight? As I understand it, this will be a street car only, so you will never notice an additional 50lbs over the nose. Now, if you plan on flogging it around a track, that's a little different. I'd still take a little extra weight over the front with increased power and help steer with the rear wheels if need be.

Re-attaching headliner material
Any auto parts store will have a 3M headliner adhesive spray. This stuff is perfect. I will caution you though, if the foam backing is the part which has deteriorated, it will NOT bond again. He is forced to buy new material and redo the entire thing.

It's lighter than any pushrod enginewith an iron block, and only slightly more than an aluminum-blocked counterpart, plus there are kits for direct bolt-ins for the modular engine fanily in the early engine bays. Hell the stock modular blocks are capable of handling up to and sometimes past 1000HP, so you are actually at an advantage. Ever price a ford aluminum block? You can get an entire modular for the same price. There are also kits available for FI that are simply plug and play and so many options as far as stand-alone engine management and wiring harnesses.

That was my original intent and then I sat in one. You remember how big I looked in your car, I don't really get in it I put it on. If I was smaller my only choice would be a 1969/70 The older ones aren't really any bigger and I really want to build something to put some serious miles on. This will be the car I drive whenever I am not: drinking, towing the boat, or parking anywhere suspect. Part of the reason it needs a backseat is at some point I will have to carry at least one kid around with me as well. Of course, the stang is bigger than the Pantera which I was going to cut up as well but I'd love to fit in some seats that are really comfortable. Perhaps a set out of one of those Mark's you have, with some air bladder bolsters out of a SHO or other car to hug you when really hitting it. Currently to get into a stang without a tilt wheel it requires all sorts of contortionist motions plus I only fit in one way which doesn't let you fidget around at all on longer drives. My goal is to put near 10k on it a year so that doesn't sound like as much fun. I am still trying to figure out a way around that though. Dammit why couldn't I be normal sized!! Tilt columns are available.

Welcome to the IHoP
Well, you know I have to vote for the Mustang. If you want something really wild, my old man has 4 Mark VIIIs with the DOHC 4.6 lying in his yard. I am about to go yank one out next weekend as a matter of fact. I do have one problem. With the LS engine, why a carburetor? IMO a real G-machine is classic sheet metal with everything else modern.
