welding wire?
correct me if i'm wrong, but.... if your chasing tenths, ie: competiting, you want as little resistance as possible. the more voltage, the more power, so... that means you want more surface area, more strands, more wire, correct? thicker wire adds resistance, correct? now, i'm pretty sure i'm correct there, and i'm sure pimped, you are wanting to compete. and while i know your run will be uber short, the fact remains that wire can add or take away a tenth or two. that's the reason alot of hardcore guys run multipule runs of 1/0, on top of the fact they are using 10kwrms of power. for daily, you'd never tell a difference, and the welding wire would be sweet. but for those chasing tenths, it's something to consider..... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Re-read my post. I said more surface area is better. There is a point of diminishing returns though. i know what you posted..lol...my thougth was he was going to be chasing tenths, ie:competeing. what i was trying to get across was, and wanted to be sure i was right, if chasing tenths, get the most surface area you can to better yoru chances of keeping up the power to the amps and lower resistance. now, he's not really competeing, so i'd back the welding wire option. also, diminshing returns, where too much is actually a problem, correct? how so? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee The point of diminishing returns is when there's excessive cable which effectively could increase resistance. I don't know how to calculate it, so don't ask.

Welcome to the IHoP
hey, you get any closer, holler... still have the cell number? i guess the pc wasn't on elias? i really need to get bb6p back..lol...bad! and i still can't get LEAP to run either...keep getting "path not recgonized"...even though i know it's the right "path" HELP!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I got your number, but unfortunately, where I am right now (Terre Haute) is the closest I will be to you now, and I am leaving at 6 AM for the NE corner of the state. I was close to you as well yesterday, as close as French Lick, but it still would've been a good 2 hour haul for either of us. I am having no luck with LEAP either. SO how is everyone else? Figures, I get some access to the net and the only one on here is Elias.

Mine should be waiting on me when I get home. I also have something up my sleeve which might take their place. Little more money than I'd prefer to spend though.

The T/A
The pics are what is making the front end so disproportioned. Personally, I liked the SS better, but you get better resale value in the Poncho, and it definately will scoot. Can't wait to see the progress on this puppy!

Welcome to the IHoP
I'm now in lovely Terre Haute with a trip through Bllomington and now the home of Indiana State, I am seeing a TON of beautiful women EVERYWHERE! THis is driving me nuts! Southern Indiana is just GORGEOUS countryside. We're stuck in this POS Chrysler T&C minivan. The thing had 800 miles on it when we got it on Monday and it now has 1600+ on it, with two more days traveling around the state! I must say, this is totally different to the northen part of the state. There are so many hills here and every road is like a roller coaster. I am definately going to have to put some stickies on the Cobra and drive down here and have some fun. So far we've driven through all but 8 counties in Indiana, but will hit the other 8 tomorrow. Went all the way to the south eastern tip and drove all along the Ohio river which divides Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky on the southern tip. That river is beautiful! Had me 3 pounds of crablegs tonight, and gonna get some more tomorrow at Hooters. I must say, this entire trip has revealed some major security holes. We've gone to 12 Indiana State Police posts in 3 days in an unmarked rental van with a paper plate in the window and no company markings anywhere and have just walked right into their communications tower buildings, and nobody has even questioned us as to who we are or what we're doing. Been through several INDOT stations with noone the wiser. Anyone could break into these things and just destroy all radio and cell phone communication throughout the state. Kinda sad..

welding wire?
Actually, more surface area is better, but in this instance you are not going to notice a difference. You could even use THHN and not notice a thing, and that probably only has 15-20 strands per.

Welding cable is not flashy like the cable marketed to the car audio crowd. Only difference. For shopping try www.weldingsupply.com or www.trystarcables.com

New Car, New System
I think you've pretty much got it all settled. Personally, I love Rainbows so they get my vote over the Focals. As for the substage, there's just too many drivers out there to suggest one. Amps, just like subs, such a wide variety. IMO, your first investment should be a quality alarm with a starter kill function.

Welcome to the IHoP
SO while in Chicago I came across one of those Chipotle restaurants you guys are always talking about, but they were closed everytime I went to get some food. Come back home and get out of my eye exam and look across the way at the new building being constructed and it's a Chipotle. Pretty Koo! Now I can try that place!

IT's common knowledge that pics must be posted without being asked for or prodded. You have 5 minutes to post pics before bannage!

JBL's not working right
Depends. If the coil burnt and broke somewhere it would be an open reading, meaning Zero, or close to it. Coil could have also come unwound or moved in the gap which will give you a different reading in either direction.

Welcome to the IHoP
YOu know, I had a big Audison boner for the longest time. Then one day, I talked to one of their former engineers and he really turned me off on them. Then I got on WoofersETC a few months ago and saw those prices on the LRx models and figured why the EFF not. I have some on the way now.
