SO I'm driving home from my bitch's house today and the DS rear tire blows a belt on the Bypass at 70mph. The tire held up, but the damn thing was driving with a bump the size of a basketball. I was able to limp it to a carwash and change it, but damn, I've had to fix more things on this POS than anything. Time to sell or blow to pieces.

Damn, Lowes has BB right now for $32 in 3/4. Oak was $31, and my two sheets of oversized MDF were a total of $21.97 today. I bought this AWESOME Freud finishing blade for the saw. This thing slices through 3/4" MDF like it's styrofoam and leaves the prettiest edge. I've never seen a better edge or used a nicer blade. 40T titanium tipped carbide with some very nice cooling fins and it's only 1/16" thick. To top that off, it was only $20. Went to Harbor freight to buy some brads, and they had a combination nailer/stapler on sale for $20. Picked that up cuz my Bostitch can only handle 1-5/8" brads max, while this cheapo can go up to 2", and as luck would have it, the ram in my Bostitch broke on me, so I had to use the new one. It never works like that. Irony. . . Did the one from harbor freight come in the blow molded plastic case ? If it's the same one I got from them. It's actually not to bad. I have had one for about 6 years now, and it's still going strong. I picked up another at a clearance sale they had here recently for $10 . Couldn't pass that up That's the one.. Ordered the part for my Bostitch last night. $6 shipped! Gotta love that. Once the cheap one takes a crap, it's back to the goods!- Voltage
The first thing I would do would be to GET SOME LARGER CABLE!!! That 4 guages is barely adequate for the Orion, let alone anything else. Next, ditch the cap. Until you get your electrical system up to par, the cap is a hinderance. In this case, it's nothing more than another load. If that has gotten you nowhere, time to upgrade the electrical.- Welcome to the IHoP

All the woofers you mentioned are over $300. The ampilfier power to run them, over $300 The enclosures built for them...depends on the wood. A RTA is much cheaper than a TL I have an RTA, Full Spectrum Analyzer, a Bruel & Kjaer mic, and access to a Laser Scanning Vibrometer whenever I want. You don't have to buy a dumb TL or RTA, just come here. IS there really a NEED for anymore subwoofer comparisons? I think we're ALL intelligent enough to buy what we will need within our budget. Too much emphasis on subs nowadays. What we really need is a large test of all these wide range drivers coming out.- Welcome to the IHoP
I hope my baskets come in tomorrow.- Welcome to the IHoP
Sean, I stopped into Audio Exchange today, no PRS gear whatsoever. The guy told me they can't even order Premier gear. What a joke.- Welcome to the IHoP

It never works like that. Irony. . . I use 1 1/2" brads for enclosures. 2" have a tendency to shoot out the side. I use 1-5/8" normally, but there are times when I'm laminating several sheets or using 1" so I would like to step up to a longer brad. I'll have to take a pic of my little contraption I made up for the gun so I get a center everytime. No worry about nailing through the side unless the gun screws up or I drink too much.- Welcome to the IHoP
RAMOS, nice to see you back my man, hope all is well in the future!- Welcome to the IHoP
THis is the first enclosure I've nailed too, and I have cut my asembly time by 60%. I love it. Never going back to screws again!- Welcome to the IHoP
