Then there is no reason you should be beating 04 GTOs. If it's street racing traffic light starts you refer too, then to me those don't count. Only time slips on tracks are what matter. Every driver in major publications and at tracks are getting the o4 GTO faster than your 08 cobra. I'd say whoever you are beating doesn't know what they are doing. I still wouldn't call your cobra slow though. It still has very respectable numbers. A few mods would make it smokin.1998 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT 5.4 14.0 It is slow. It will never be quick/fast enough. I know all about modding it. Runs 13.50s BTW with no weight transfer on Nitto DRs.
  3. One large thread.
  4. That sounds like Indianapolis. All the North/South Streets are labled East/West, and vice versa. Make sense? Nope. That's Indiana for you.
  5. I wish our healthcare system was half as good as Canada's.
  6. Lead vest FTW!
  7. Why do I keep seeing people comparing an SE to the W6v2? IT's just no contest.
  8. Mine is starting out with Burgers and door panels, and USPS giving me a bunch of crap.
  9. Crate engines are easy, can be bought smog-legal (big plus), and have great reliability depending upon the builder.
  10. our threads are still here, they are in the OT section I see that now, but it was best with the automotive subforum. Now I have to search to find threads. Speaking of, why does our search function blow ass?
  11. SHould be all you need if you're lucky. Hell the block cleaning alone will probably run at least $300. Assuming your block is okay and you want to stay at 350 cubes, eh, screw it. We could go on forever on this.
  12. Tom, you lost me on this one. $3k for only 400hp on a Chevy small block??? I think you could build something as potent cheaper, or better yet a lot more so for the same. yeah, i haven't really looked non-long blocks at this point in time, i dont have any where near enough mechanical ability to build my own engine but from everything i've found of complete engines, that's a really good deal Building an engine is easy. $3K is a great deal for that though, and you'll quickly eclipse the $1K mark in machine work many times.
  13. I'm not too keen on the automotive forum being directly linked to the other place. I'd rather just view our threads here. Not happy about that.
  14. I can't keep up anymore.

Sounds like a great place, but I don't see myself straying from here. I may have a few posts there, but I don't think I can handle another forum.
  16. Wait, I'm thinking of the other guy.
  17. Chevelle.
  18. Peace out!
  19. I liked my el-cheapo Panasonic except for the fact that whenever it was cold, it wouldn't eject the CDs. It would just sit there and spin on it trying to "grip" the disc to eject it. Ended up scratching quite a few CDs. Check Crutchfield. Every now and then, they clear out last years models at blowout prices. You certainly can't beat their service and warranty even if it is $50 extra. Also nice to get a free dash kit and harness.
  20. Yes, I would. Unless you are tracking the car, you'll never notice the difference on the street.
  21. AIght. That pisses me off. Kickin hasn't gotten his yet either, and the guy I sold the USA-425 to said he can't get it to work. WTF?
  22. SO drop in regularly homie!

Slow? 13.3 quarter and 5.2 0-60 is hardly slow. May not be a Z06 but it'll plant your ass in the seat. GTOs didnt get the LS6, that is the old Z06 motor. the new goats and base vettes get the LS2. the new Z06 has the LS7 My bad, LS2. Anyways, 13.3 in the quarter? Really? I've raced a few in my Cobra and blown them away. Slow in my book as my car isn't very fast atall, nor is it quick by any means. LOL Cobra not fast? LAWL. Maybe you just have very high goals. Stock 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT 4.5(0-60) 12.9(1/4) (so, yes it should beat an 04 goat) How pucking quick do you want a stock vehicle for less than $35k to be? Next to a car modded to the hilt doing sub 3 in 0-60 and sub 10 second 1/4 sure its slow, but in stock trim thats respectable. That may pertain to me if I had an 03 or 04 Cobra, but it's nothing more than a stock 98 with a super stiff suspension and an untouched engine.
  24. I always miss the good stuff.
  25. The benefit of the mono amp is twofold as they are most commonly a digital variety and far more efficient than their A?b counterparts.
