  1. The Optispark is a totally different beast.
  2. You wanna have a good time when you go get plugs?? When they tell you your car requires platinum plugs, ask them why they make copper plugs for them then? Then proceed to tell them that platinum plugs offer zero advantage unless you plan on not changing your plugs every year. They'll have a fit. i already knew the part number of what i needed so it was really no hassle at all with non-platinum plugs, it's really recomended to change them once a year? Yes. Platinum is acutally a very poor conductor and there are far better performance characteristics from a standard copper plug. The ONLY advantage to platinum is durability. It allows for a much longer lifespan due to better corrosion resistance and better durability with long term heat. Actually, this is not commonly known, but you should really replace your plug wires everytime you change plugs. Plug wires will start to deteriorate around 10,000 miles or less. good info Ryan, thanks so you recomend plugs and wires every year? I do it for all my own vehicles, but I'm a little anal on maintenance. I do a tuneup once a year, and that's all tuneup related, so voila. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor if applicable, fuel filter, air filter, oil change, tranny fluid change, gear lube change, coolant change, etc.
  3. I REALLY hope it doesn't rain tomorrow.

  5. Only van I ever liked to work on was my mother's old Aerostar. The 4.0 had great access in that thing with the low floor. Typical full size vans are teh suxor!
  6. That will get them too. I go up to the counter and ask for 8 Autolite 764s. They proceed to ask what vehicle. I tell them again, I need 8 Autolite 764s, they again reply that they need the vehicle. I say, give me plugs, they say need vehicle info. I ask why, they say warranty. . . WTF? Warranty on a damn spark plug? Give them vehicle, they say, no, I need platinum. I ask why, they say because that's what their computer lists. I ask to see the screen, scroll down, and bingo. . . Autolite 764s @ $1.09/pc. Give them to me. They try to tell me I NEED platinum, I tell them to explain to me WHY I need platinum. They go on some stupid autostore BS knowledge. I school them and get my 764s. I feel sorry for some of the people who actually take that job hoping to learn some automotive knowledge.

  8. No sand there. Just semen residue.
  9. Crap, I forgot to get sand today.
  10. Top. What a great one too.
  11. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!
  12. No IB, but the cabin and trunk will be sealed from one another. As for the torsion bars. They're perfect actually. The deck is rather large, I mean, I could eaily fit a pair of 15" drivers on it, maybe even three if I were creative enough. They are located pretty far back and no modification to them will be necessary. And, Sawzall FTW!! Waiting on my steel to be milled.

My shipping has never been more than $10, and I order a lot of stuff from them when I do.
  14. Nothing to see here yet, just starting a place to post crap pics.
  15. I need more time in life.
  16. Dammit.
  17. Just because you are within enclosure specs doesn't mean you won't stress the driver. Depends on power output, clipping, etc.. You don't always need RMS to push the driver beyond it's limits.
  18. You must go through resin like TP.

Dayton is not a relabel. They are their own company producing their own equipment. Granted, they don't do ALL their drivers. . .
  20. Eff, I'm out. Headache is killing me.
  21. Good 4 u!
  22. Poor Tom.
  23. Anyone hear from Aaron yet?
  24. IT would SO PWN me. I really don't know how I get through the day with computers. I suck at them so much. I know the basics, but I haven't kept up with the technology at all...if someone says "n00b, I've got a 347247GB DDR SDRAM with Duo Core blahblahblah" I'm like... The last time I built a computer, clock speeds hadn't broken 1GHz, video accelerators were optional and your only choice in RAM styles was between SIMMs and DIMMs I guess I stopped keeping up with it because it moves so damn fast...no real point in always trying to have the fastest machine if the latest and greatest change every six months. Only part I understood, the last sentence.
