I'd go with the Eclipse, money permitting. You gain EQ and Crossover in one. With the addition of a standalone EQ, you'll have to add a crossover in after that, unless you are using your amplifiers' internal crossovers(assuming they have them).

Mine was Caulk and PB. More caulk than anything. Now, as for your enclosure. It should still work. Assuming you didn't account for the blade thickness on all cuts, they should all be in proportion to your plans, just on a smaller scale. You will have slightly less volume, but I doubt you'll notice it.

I was told to use a 1.5 cu ft sealed box with my 12" and using a US Amps USA-300x bridged 4 ohms That's fine. I'm just saying, don't go throwing it in a huge enclosure with no cone control and slam a ton of power on it. Same goes for any driver. A driver may be able to handle X amount of watts, but you also have to take into consideration the application when devising a power scheme.

Hell, even around $300 is a steal for an 18" driver. Like I said, I'm down for 2 at least. I could possibly do more by the actual time they are ready. On a side note, the cosmetics, as bland as possible would be nice. A Malestrom look is perfect.
