  1. Ebay needs to get a handle on some of these people charging outrageous shipping. $49.95 flat rate for a Kicker Comp12. I don't think so.

AP wouldn't work in a hatchback type vehicle. Similar to IB, you have to have a way to permanently isolate the front and rear waves. Only way I could see doing that in this type of vehicle would be a door or tailgate mount. Possibly even the floor, but what's the point with this type of driver? I would love to see this in a PR setup though. I know Mike can get his hands on some custom built ones.
  3. Nope, my buddy gave it to me. He's giving me another one too, but an older model. IT's like brand new. Also gave me a Prestige APS995C. I need to buy new transmitters for it, but it's mint. I hook him up on boxes and tools all the time, so he decided to return the favors. Good guy!
  4. You guys have to understand Nick though. He wants the best of everything. Nothing half-assed, no compromises. I find that a plus though. If he weren't that way, we'd have mediocre drivers.
  5. I get all my studd for free. I love perks. My big 3 will be 2 guage DLO. Custom making all my power distribution points as well.
  6. Well, I've decided to do a budget system in the beater. All equipment, wiring, and materials have to be less than $1K total. Did I mention it will be all active as well. This should be fun. Got my first piece in yesterday. A used Eclipse 5303. Old Pre-amp deck from 97, but it's clean! 5V RCAs, and the 55ohm impedance is sweet. All for the low low price of $1. Gotta love it. I have to find a trim ring for it, and hope Eclipse has some way of converting an aux input for me. We shall see.
  7. I need refill catridges, but I'm not messing around with refilling my own again.
  8. Well, lastnight was messed up. Got a call in the afternoon to go over and babysit my girl's daughter. Her sister went into labor yesterday at 7AM, and just had the baby a couple hours ago. I love it when you have a ton of stuff to do and $hit just comes up. And is it me or are about 99% of babies ugly when they're first born?
  9. Great design. Lovin the homemade sawhorses.
  10. Seen that before, but it's still amazing. Wonder what MTX could do with a similar theme and the Jackhammer.
  11. Here we go. They are pretty!
  12. Well, if they do with MB Q what they did with the Hifonics and Autotek names.....I think we can kiss MB Q goodbye as far as quality mid-line priced products go..... I think the quality is still there. I wouldn't compare them to the products of old as far as durability goes, but they're all a great value.
  13. No you don't.
  14. Sit them down like children and have a "family" discussion. You pay the bills, you are being hospitable; make them understand that to keep their welcome there are certain rules they must abide by. Seems to me there is more at risk here than potentially losing some friends. If they were true friends, they would be understanding of your feelings and stance on the situation. You are indeed helping THEM. I feel your woman needs to understand this is putting a strain on your relationship as well, and that's something she should take into consideration. Just my own $.02 Sorry if I'm oout of line.
  15. I can't read that anymore. One thing that is really starting to disturb me though is the "this is better than that because of whatever." The current debate I'm seeing is the LMT vs. XBL^2 vs. Underhung vs. Overhung vs. Dual Gap Motor topology. Regardless of which one has better specs, value, whatever, who really cares. I find too many people basing things on numbers and measurements. They have their place for determining which will be good to a specific application, but we have all come across drivers with terrible numbers that are liked by the masses. Whatever happened to just using what sounds good to you?

Not a fan of the grill. . . . Is the cutout standard 12", or does the different basket have a different cutout? Nice box! Wish you could get more than 1500 on that thing though. Oh yeah. Damn Bassheads!
  17. oh ok well can you email me or PM me if you think 2 twelve's can take about 1500w each... friend has a 3000w amp and wants some subs ^.^ thanks Personally, I feel if you are careful, they can take the power. Enclosure is going to be the determining factor. Be careful with the gain and the volume knob, and don't play full blast for extended periods of time. Also be aware that warranty doesn't cover fried coils. If the driver goes into thermal failure, it's your fault. On a side note, 1.5K per driver is just unnnecessary. I'm running 250 watts to mine and a quick sit in my truck is enough to make your ears hurt. What is the amp he will be using?
  18. It WILL be in the planned install. This is just temporary play time.
  19. I thought there was a legal dispute between the original Quart and RF pertaining to the rights to the name?
  20. That's koo! Sergey turned mine around in less than a week. It was a total of 1.5 weeks including shipping time. I couldn't have asked for more. As for the rep thing, that's Nick's bag. Ryan, YGPM on the fosgate.
  21. What kind of car, is it a hatchback? I see your from Texas, I might head out to Dallas once I finish school. I think it would fit my lifestyle better than CA. Funny I've lived in CA my whole life, but can't take the housing prices, traffic and environmental insanity (have to waste a lot of gas getting to a location where you can ride a dirtbike legally). Anyway awesome review. I'm still in the break in process so I have a little while before I get to know my 15". I'm running it sealed as well. I've always been a sealed fan and probably always will be. I listen to too wide a range of music to use anything else. Its a regular cab truck. Texas is nice...at times. I am now without and amp I need ti find a 300-600 rms replacement. Well, maybe not, the amp should only be out a week. I'll make you a smokin deal on a RF POWER 451S. It doesn't have the endcaps, but it's spotless and will put out 500@ 4 ohms. If you want, I can send it out tomorrow for you to use temporarily and if you like it, we'll deal.

  23. How the hell did you get a 400 amp service installed in a house? 200 amp is the highest codes allows, unless something has changed in a couple weeks. I thought the NEC specified 200A as minimum for residential use, but put no caps on the upper limit...I'm probably wrong about that though. All I know is my parent's place has a 400A single-phase panel for the main service, and a 100A auxiliary panel that's patched in to the generator. 200 is the minimum. Any more and they are supposed to install another service. I'll have to check on that tomorrow though. 400 amps is getting into the commercial zone though. That's got to be a mighty expensive service there. . . Better hope nothing goes wrong with that main breaker. It'll be a nice little chunk of change. On a lighter note, thanks for posting that CA.com link. It's taking up too much of my valuable time.

  25. I can't send a file of that size via email. I have the first video on ROE, but I'm waiting for it to be posted. It won't let me upload the other file either. It's virtually the same, just some DJ Magic Mike for sounds.
