well just got a free advertisment for SI
I personally preferred my Magnum over my XXX and Brahma. TO others, it's different. Everyone's tastes will differ, but IMO, the Magnum is the best finesse driver I have ever owned for subbass duty. I thought the driver was just going to be another driver before I actually used it. I'd read all the hype on the net, and personally, that just gives me a negative attitude towards something. I like to come to my own conclusions on the products I use. So, it was basically already on my $hit list when I got it. Now, I kinda feel like an ass for ever feeling that way. The best part is, the new drivers are going to be even better performers. Nick spared no expense and no BS with the new design. It should pay off highly.

The thing I hate about CA.com is that 90% of the people don't really know $hit, but think they know everything. And I really love how people try to make it look as if you're saying something you havent said.

Welcome to the IHoP
So, Sunday night was my sleepless adventure. I have since decided to rid myself of caffeine and soda pop in general. I have had a huge headache ever since. My girl is a nurse and I was told caffeine is more addictive than any hardcore drug out there and my body is going through withdrawal. I find that rather funny, but I can see that. I'm coming down off my caffeine high. I'll tell you what though, surprisingly, I seem to be sleeping a hell of a lot better.

Mr. Nick Lemmons turned me onto a 50/50 mix of polyfill and FG insulation. I don't know what affect it has, but it seems more effective than the standard polyfill. I've been using it ever since.

Circular Saw
Made by B&D. Just a different name. I found that out a couple months ago, when I was comparing saws at the tool place next door to my old work. In fact, the guy showed me some of the DeWalt boxes which had the B&D logo on them. I was shocked!

Feedback suggestion
Might be good for people who need it. Some of us have done enough transactions with enough people though and most are on several boards that it's easy enough to just go ask others. Just my opinion.

I doubt you're experiencing standing waves in that small enclosure. Now as far as reflections, I imaging that may work, But I would try some cheap poly fill first. The batting kind where it can be stapled or glued to the enclosure walls would be my first choice. I've done exactly 2 vented midbass enclosures and had this problem once. The poly did very well, but on my next go at them, I placed the vent under the driver and had it firing towards the front of the vehicle. I had excellent results with this setup. Of course, I never leave the bare glass finish inside the enclosure. I always have some form of deadener and clay along with some type of polyfil. Just my own $.02.

fudge allen terminals, there's just no need. Spring terminals that easily accept up to 8awg are TEH WIN!!! NG The allen terminal will provide a far better connection in way or contact area on the wire. Think about it. The spring loaded deals only contact a small portion of the wire. It may or may not make a big deal, but in actuality, the cheap spades and the allen connection provide for more contact and a far superior connection. Won't make an audible difference though. I'm talking about ease of use. I like push pin on speakers (yeah, we were talking about speakers Supa_C look at the Jason's extremis's above I actually prefer STRONG/SOLID bare wire insert for amps, with regular Philips set screws that don't strip out (on the head). There is nothing worse than need to tighten/untighten a set screw...and not have any or the correct allen wrench. NG Yeah, well, I like allen on my amps, wouldn't mind torx actually... I prefer that my chit doesn't strip the head... ever... Hey ryan, as noah kinda talked about above... Will the better connection of a set screw make a differance in this case, or is it just overkill? No real way to know without doing the proper testing. By ear, you probably will never notice a difference. Hence my statement in my post. Measuring equipment will tell you otherwise. I'm a former electrician, so I myself am all about contact area and a FIRM connection.

Check CA.com or SD.com There's been way too much debate on them on those two boards. There's a huge thread on SD on them and their properties.
