  1. For musical puposes it would serve well, given the enclosure is able to support it. For an exclusive HT subwoofer for just watching movies, I personally would choose something else. Something with a low Q, LOW FS and HUGE vas. Of course room size plays a big factor.
  2. And I know all about Zed. But that is only one company. Good points here and a great discussion so far.
  3. As I find out secrets and "behind the scenes" info, I start to realize that although people say prices on raw materials are going up, I still can't believe the money they are making. I know some drivers that cost $20 to make and disrtibute per unit, yet they sell for $150-$250. Same with some amps. It just boggles my mind. Business is business yes, but I mean come on. I would love to open up an amplifier company with the quality of Zapco for half the price. I'd still make a ton of money. I just don't get it. Are people really that greedy?
  4. Yep, I run into that quite often It pisses me off cuz I have to spend $30K to go to school to learn what I already know. Why can't I just buy the paper. Hmm, I think I'm on to something.
  5. YOu know what I hate???!!! When you have the skills and experience to do a job better than someone, but they get the opportunity becuase they have a piece of paper stating they have knowledge, even though their knowledge can't compare to the experience. Bullish!
  6. Views and discussion please.
  7. I just a a 1 gig SD card for my new camera so between the two of us, we should easily be able to take down any of Effendi's posts.
  8. If my crossover sells, I'm taking thos V-maxs. If you still have them.

Both my Atlas 12s arrived with the scratched chrome as well. You'd think they'd find some way to avoid that.
  10. Nice choice! What are they going in?
  11. Looks good so far. I'm intrigued by the UsAmps now.
  12. Who you talkin 'bout?
  13. Night all.
  14. It's not about what YOU like, it's what WE like.
  15. How much space do you have? Type of music?
  16. http://www.cardomain.com/item/IDSIDQ12D4V2B IDQ. I have heard many a loud ID.
  17. It should yield almost identical response as the IB setup. THe thing is, you need to completely seal the front from the rear same as in IB setup, so you might as well just stick with that. To the original poster, if you think it sounds good now, you should try separating the front and rear waves 100%. You'll be even more pleased. Isn't it wonderful to have such a versatile driver?
  18. Yeah, the IDv3s are getting RAVE reviews. I actually spoke to a tech at ID who told me they are better than the current v2 IDQs. They are on the cheap as well. YOu could probably pick up a pair from SD re-coned for $200 easily.
  19. im not going to try to carpet those bastards thats a good idea actually, but its too hot here to have a blanket Dude, where's my hair. Seriously though, send them to me, I'll have them done in an hour. Simple job.
  20. I've also seen a lot of the Type-Rs going cheap on Ebay. Great subs!
  21. Hmm, $200 to spend. Well, I'd look for a used Magnum or something of the Soundsplinter variety. A pair of RL-i8s would work very well with that. I don't think anyone on here has any experience with the latest offerings of eD, so. Man, there are really too many to pick from.
  22. Prove me wrong! My Penis IS bigger than your vagina! Try his ass He's too young. To the original poster, see what I mean?
  23. Where's Richard Simmons??!!
