  5. Here you can see the RCAs nicely routed away from any power wire. Can you see them? Beginnings of the sub enclosure/amprack. All the Spectrum is dried. Everything taped up and the frame is halfway done. My slick custom mount for the fuse holder. Turned out very well and allows for access to the battery hold down mounting bolt incase of an emergency. Fuse holder installed.
  6. Well, I figured I'd start a thread laying everything out from start to finish. Here goes. Some things are missing like power wire routing and alarm install, but there's no way in hell I'm taking my fender off again just to take some pics. Here goes. Let's start with the Omnifi. I think many have seen it, but here goes. I started with this. And finished with this. Perfect routing of the cable. This necessitated desoldering the wires inside the circuit board, but it was only 5 simple wires and they were spaced far enough apart for my iron to get them. Some finished pics. Now you see it. Now you don't. Passenger side for comparison. More.
  7. Actually getting some stuff accomplished on the Cobra these past couple days.
  8. I have a brand new wireless Microsoft Keyboard/Mouse setup I'm probably going to sell.
  9. They've had Morel for years.
  10. YEP
  11. MMMMMHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMM
  12. Yup
  13. For just burping, I would go with a multiple battery series/parallel setup. If looking to integrate this into the current vehicle, well, it can be done, but not worth the trouble IMO. You would need either a separate charging system for each electrical system and/or some form of isolation between the two. The common electronics on your vehicle will not adapt well to voltages above 15V. And that is pushing it.
  14. Yeah, don't we all... Some things I won't show on SSA Not me. Maybe the the other two. They look like they have some attitude. I like that. Look a little too young though.
  15. No tires to roast. I'm basically on slicks right now. Damn insurance got me for $600 and it cost me $150 to renew my plates for 2 freaking months!
  16. Nobody answered my question. BOO! Oh well. Someone will bite. We should have a big quiz on this stuff. On another note, I can tell you, I hate removing the motor/screws from the basket. Hardest damn screws to ever remove IMO. They always strip. Why can;t someone use a damn bolt or a socket head?
  17. YOu guys and your fart machines. Funny thing is, most people never realize how much this will affect your typical DD sytem. Yeah, my amp puts out 111111111111111111111000000000000000000000 watts at 1 ohm no matter what the impedance. I know, I designed and built it myself. ***Disclaimer*** The owner of this post is a theoretical genious and should nowforth be considered a car audio god amongst men. Further note, he is also a moronic fool who has a gas problem. Viva la Taco Bell!
  18. Here's my input. I've used equipment from every end of the spectrum. IMO, a lot of the times when equipment breaks it's user-error. Even cheap CD players are of such a high quality nowadays due to technology. Just think about it. I'll tell you guys something. I have this old Pyramid amp in storage that I've had since I was 11. The thing is a rock. I have tortured this thing beyond anything anyone could ever imagine. This was the first amp I ever had and it got tested with everything. I once had six 15s wired up to this thing with who knows what wiring configuration and never has it let me down. It's been too hat to touch, blown a million fuses, seen ohm loads it should never have even thought of seeing and it still works flawlessly.
  19. My experience with AA: Called up on a Friday, early. They answered the phone after 1 ring. This never happens anywhere I call. The guy on the other end almost seemed ecstatic to take my order. Gave them all info, ten minutes later I was done. 2 hours later received a tracking number. Next day received my drivers. Opened them up for inspection, the drivers seemed very well built. As a matter of fact, I was so pleased with the fit of the gasket. I have never seen one that conformed so well and tight to the basket. This is just a little detail to some, but a big thing that could possibly get overlooked. The gasket will distort when mounted if it is loose. These drivers would not have that problem. All in all, even though I never even hooked them up, I would venture to say they would perform more than adequate for the price I paid. The service was great. They even came with little slips indicating they had gone through some sort of quality control and there were specific measurements for each driver. I fully undertsand both sides. I agree with Dan o some parts, but I think this could have been something to hurt AA. IF your product was using some new found glorified technology and the designer of this technology just came out and said it's not as high quality of another, no matter what the context, people are going to make assumptions that that particular lesser quality driver is now just crap. I remembere a while ago when some major auto manufacturer was having some problems with OEM tires blwoing out. Everyone avoided Firestone like the plague. That's what we have to look at here, because unfortunately, that's what the majority of the potential customers are going to think. Anyone doing research on AA who would happen upon Dan's comment would immediately turn away IMO. Hence Chad's reasoning to drop it. I really don't think it offended him, rather he's making a business decision to improve the status of the company. I think we'd all do the same. Let's use eD for an example. They had all the hype with the flat cones and everyone wanted them. Come to find out, there were problems, big problems. Ben should've stepped up right then and there and stopped it, but no, kept making them and giving excuses. Bad business move. Now everyone looking into eD will do a web search and come up with tons of negatives on them. There goes potential customers. Remember folks, we more often than not only here the complaints about the products. The praises are few and far between. For every one product failure, there's a multitude more of products that are performing well that you just don't hear about. I'm now done replying here.
