  1. I disagree. AA was putting out a great product at budget prices. They marketed their drivers very well, and that is why a lot of people are using them. On another note, I would do the same thing. The XBL^2 technology is supposed to be "the best." If the effectiveness of this technology is inferior between who designs/builds motors, why pay money to have "the best" when it's not "the best?" Granted, I do agree with Dan as they are constantly working on this engineering marvel so of course they are going to have the ability to do adjustment instantly when they find something that works better. Therefore, that gives them the potential to have a better product, but I do not feel that was a smart business move for him.

Hence the reason I questioned the mic placement. Do you think I'm a fool?
  3. Tirefryr replied to CBFryman's topic in General Audio
Totally possible. Where was the mic placed?

    That's me alright!
  11. Anyone get their stuff from me yet?
  12. Whoop that ass!
  13. From what I cab tell, they seem to be staged. It seems right as the civic starts kicking it, the others let off the gas. Just my observations. The could be one hell of a sleeper, but I want to see it run at the track. Rolling starts mean nothing to me. Give me a rolling start to get in my powerband and stock for stock, I will eat an LS1. Off the line and pulling through though, I'm toast.

    Saluki. WTF?
  15. CDTs have midbass?
  16. Kent is correct, but I can't comment on the 6.5s. Have no experience with them, but if they perform like the 8s, they are awesome. I'm going to be running some 7" drivers IB.
  17. Damn, I need to sell this stuff I'm not using. On another note. Bad news on the JBL, don't even want to discuss. Good news: Got a call from JL tech today. The dub was undamaged, but had to be reconed anyways due to the testing. Not too shabby. Hmm, reconing a brand-new driver. Oh well. At least I know it's 100%. And of no cost to me either.
  18. Not if you use the correct driver. I'm running IB. Quite strong. IF you have room for an 8", the Kicker RMB8s are excellent. I have yet to hear their replacement, but if they are as good as the RMB8s, they will rock. You can basically not even use your sub with the performance of them.
  19. I personally got to test one of those before they started selling. Wonderful driver and an outright steal for $150!
  20. I find that the case in many installs. I think true midbass is the most overlooked. Once you hear a car with a good midbass setup you truly find yourself wanting more. This is where I center quite a bit of my time during an install. I'm a mid-basshead.
  21. And nobody mentioned Destijl. ID does some Onkyo Pioneer I also believe Sony and Kenwood do all in-house, but have buildhouses separate of the company name.
  22. Hell, I don't know. Poor dead trees.
  23. You suck Kent!! I still love you though.
  24. Yeah, weather sucks here too.
  25. I don't really know. My old man has a 96 I could throw it in, but that would be a waste as well, he's my old man. Supa, that idea had crossed my mind, however, I simply do NOT want to mount the unit in the dash.
