Welcome to the IHoP
Hey Supa, why do you always run into problems with your enclosures? Are you a freaking Retard? Get on the bus foo! J/K. For real though. Take a little more time and try not to rush it. If you get frustrated, walk away. On a lighter note, Look what I'm buying. Great deals! http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mfSC5n6JduJ/c...A1000&s=0&cc=01 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mfSC5n6JduJ/c...A4200&s=0&cc=01

Box advice...
Also, MDF sheets are 1" larger for L and W. So it'd be 49"x97"

Relays (Multiple Amplifiers)
Get a Bosch, don't mess with anything else. May cost a dollar or two more, but well worth it. Cheap Overseas ones suck!

I'm not keen on any of the DEI era PPIs.

Yes, the guy from the classifieds. Justin, I cannot find your table. I think we need our own little poker game on here for just us to use. Kinda like the chat room. Take the place of that. That would be sweet!

goin active
It will work, but to get the most advantageous benefit of going active, I'd recommend it.

Any one of those should do you fine. Make sure the amp is 1 ohm stable and you're good to go.

Denim, simply seal that vent up and add some wood to take up the space. Voila! You have your sealed enclosure and the ability to tune it to whatever volume you desire without wasting any precious MDF.

If you're going active, it would be in your best interests to go with a 3-way setup. Dedicated midrange and midbass drivers will be a world better than trying to mix the 2. It can be done, but it will take a rather pricey driver to get the most. The most important thing to consider here is the install and flexibility of the crossover. A good EQ will also be a necessity.

NEXt by audison
Hmm. I was a big Audison fan. Infact, I sold my beloved PPIs to finally step up to the plate. I even purchased the LRx 1.400 and was about to purchase the 4.300. This led me to Audison of America. I had a phone conversation with one of their representatives and what he told me was quite disturbing. Needless to say, I have since sold my LRx. I will not buy them. Take this with a grain of salt as I am just going by what I was told. I will not reveal it either, so don't ask. I will say though, if you can get them cheap enough, buy them.

Subwoofers you have owned...pics... :)
didnt know sstream made the mules in 10's. i had the 12's. They didn't. Denim must have gotten a special driver. I have seen SPL160s in 12" versions, but they were NEVER avialable to the public. Who do you know Aaron????

zapco I'm not seeing much comparison here Sorry, I should've stated JBL/Crown. Make a difference now? if its the crown amp, then I would go that direction, so many nice features, what one are you comparing? JBL/Crown 5001. vs the Zapco Ref 500.1? Um. BPX2200.1 versus the Reference 1100.1 Power output is not what Im concerned about. Just looking for opinions. The JBL is actually cheaper than the Ref. and the C2Ks I cannot find for a decent price even used, so they are out of the question. I really really want to try Zapcos, but the JBL is kinda on it's way already. Who knows.

Displacement should be about .07 cubes for the 12, .10-.11 for the 15.
