  1. I wouldn't suggest cardboard. You want something sturdy. Make sure everything is secured as well. Things can easily break if placed in or near the enclosure where there will be vibration. Also, the nature of the coils could very well cause them to buzz when the electrons are flowing. Been there, done that. I use plexi and small guage copper wire for traces, but stay away from flimsy mounting materials. And use a lot of glue. Second order tweeter network. It weighs a good 6lbs. and is 4"x8.5". Depending on the quality you are looking for, try to stick with inductors with the lowest DCR possible.
  2. Bigwheel, the avatar is pimp!
  3. Kent, thos CVs won't need any low-end help. Those Infinity Poly cells are excellent tweets BTW! Haven't seen those in a LONG time.
  4. Sweet ride! All black with chrome wheels is so sexy! I just picked up the JVC 5100 and love it. You really can't beat the price, or the ability to record 1000+ MP3s on a DVD-R! Wonderful choice in sub driver and you'll be satisfied most aiming up IMO.
  5. Should pop the big Dub7 in there also.
  6. What DAY. building an enclosure for 3 Alchemy 12s, the BIG dub, and maybe for my newest little cutie.
  7. Nick, does that have the same finish as the last 12 spokes? I like that finish.
  8. I would, but under this circumstance, no.
  9. Got my new toy today. Here she is. 69.7 lbs shipping weight. Next to the MAgnum TC motor. And next to my naked claw basket.
  10. I'm out fellas. Enjoy that photo!
  11. Try to stay with one coil and cap. The more components you add, the higher the resistance, more deterioration of the signal.
  12. We can't view your cart without your username and password.
  13. no kiddin... but how long would that take ? No crap. With the luck we've had so far, it would be a year.
  14. HA HA HA HA Come on now. You know I can't do that.
  15. YOu guys want a pic?
  16. Just saw the photos! You guys don't know what you're missing. Also got word that a very high end driver is getting replaced with a new D2 becuase it fared better.
  17. Stay tuned! If you thought the Magnums were good, you're gonna cry when you hear the new ones. And see them. Let's just say INVERTED is the ONLY way to go!
  18. WHERE??? I'm priviledged!
  19. OMG!!! I just got photos of the new D2s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Kent, I suggest clicking on that link I provided before you move any further. It will go into great detail on everything you need to know when doing this.
  21. Kent, do some online searching. I just buy mine from PE because they get them to me in a day and always have what I need. Plus they have quite a selection from just cheap stuff to audiophile grade components. You can pick some stuff up from your local Shack though. Madisound, Zalytron, Solen, Apex Jr., MCM, there are a ton of options. Don't forget Ebay as well.
  22. Hey Kent. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/crosscalc.asp#ccc
