  1. What crossover slope. Oh, someone's RCAs are done.
  2. Don't use copper hardware, it will tarnish and corrode just from sitting. Use SILICON BRONZE hardware. Very conductive, yet reistant to the atmosphere. Every seen the huge copper and aluminum buss at an electrical substation, or any power station for that matter. It's the only hardware of choice.
  3. Wrong. They are out of phase. It's as simple as flipping the wires on one driver.
  4. HEY! This is SI not DD. Take it to general. B)
  5. Useless post on his part. The technology is great, however, I personally do not feel the performance offsets the large price tag. The BL may be flatter and the distortion less than that of the XBL^2 drivers, but it is more expensive, not practical in DVC configurations, and (at this time) cannot be implemented into smaller drivers. And as far as the outrageous excursion goes, I'd venture to say 90% of purchasers never use the drivers to their full potential anyways. AS of this moment, XBL^2 wins. Give the LMT technology time though and it may be right there alongside.
  6. Tonight my friend.
  7. I bet it's before THIS guy gets the info.
  8. I personally would just do one fuse on the main wire. If there is going to be an accident on either of the two branching off it, you can sure bet it will be greater than 1 amp. That's what's needed to blow the fuse so you should be fine. IF you feel the need, you can use 2.
  9. I don't use a relay unless I absolutely have to. Don't want to take a chance on introducing any noise into the system. Now with that said, I ALWAYS fuse my remote lead. a simple .5 amp fuse is plenty. If that blows, then you know you need a relay. Most amps only take a couple milliamps to turn on so you should be fine. But that fuse is a lifesaver. Ever accidentally touch the remote to ground? Use the fuse.
  10. I had a Magnum 12 running in 3 cubes vented with 1500. The SS should handle it no problem. That aluminum cone should actually do better at disipating heat.
  11. Ikesound. Will have warranty.
  12. Someday, I too shall be in the Bimmer world, albeit in an M5. Gonna take some time though.
  13. That's the way I ordered the cable. Works better for my install. It just so happens it will work better for someone else too. Some simple shrink around them will easily couple them to a pair and that way you can dress them however you like. That's the best part. It truly gives you the ability to have a CUSTOM install. Mine for instance, will have red Techflex and red shrink. Currently looking for a bulk amount of gunmetal ends though and having no luck.
  14. Kent, shoot me a PM with exact lenghts. I think I'm going to have to order some more ends.
  15. How many do you want?
  16. ? How's this look?
  17. Guess what I'm working on?
  18. No, but I just remembered something. I'm sending you a PM.
  19. That's odd to drop more than 1 gear. Hmm. I'd suspect when the V8 swap was done, the 4 cylinder tranny was retained. However, that should have snapped pretty much everything by now. Just remember, holla if you need anything. I have a bunch of stuff lying around and access to pretty much anything you need.
  20. And how would you feel if I told you once you take the driver, throw it in the vehicle and apply power to it, that every one of those measurements can be thrown out the window? ThAt's the one thing that still to this day baffles me. Society in genaral uses these parameters to derive enclosure designs, yet when they are loaded into the enclosure and powered up, they change, and sometimes drastically. So does that mean the driver is now worhtless in this application? No, but it is no longer ideal. That's where the fun part comes. Tuning!
