  1. KEnt, I hope you know when using BAssBox, the square port measurements are just that. It will NOT account for a slot port using one or more walls of the enclosure. Simply take your vent area, which in this case you need 20sq. inches or more to have ZERO port noise, then go to the INTERIOR section where it lists the displacent of the vent and set that to Zero. Then simply add in the pieces of wood that the vent walls will displace in the miscellaneous section, factor in end-correction and you're all set. You may already know this but I just wanted to point it out incase you didn't. Now Supa: You could go with a 6.25" round vent, but it will be abscenely long and take multiple angles. Plus I don't believe it will be the easiest thing to try and bend around the driver's frame once installed. The labrynth seems to be the easiest solution, yet it will displace quite a bit of volume depending on the thickness of the material used. A traditional slot port would work well also, but it will also displace quite a bit of room and you will need 3 sides of the enclosure to get the length you need. Keep in mind when using slot ports, it's generally accepted to have a H:W ration no greater than 9:1. Taking that theory, you would not want the 15x1 vent. Not enough vent area anyways (power dependent). With the space you have available with this enclosure, the only feasible option, in my eyes, is the round vent with some of it externally mounted. Otherwise, you take up too much volume in the enclosure and you're not running in the optimal environment. This may be beneficial however if you are looking to run more power.
  2. We have an enclosure section?
  3. The way my installs are going here lately, they'll probably still be un-used.
  4. No, you're sending them both to me so I don't have to put the Atlas drivers in there til production ramps up.
  5. Whose drunk ass voted on that one??
  6. ASSKISSERS!
  7. Cone is paper, dustcap is carbon fiber. Actually, I believe the carbon on the dustcap is merely cosmetic. As for the motor structure, well, it's not as anemic as it looks. Reminds me of the old Onyx LMs. About the same size. The photo is a little deceiving. These are only 300 watt drivers, so no need for a large motor structure. The coil appears to be a 2.5" on the XBL^2 motor design. We'll see how they perform. I just wanted something cheap to get me by that I knew I could work with and make a quick re-sale when the D2s come in. B)
  8. I realized I forgot to re-size. All fixed now.
  9. Not too shabby for $300. I must say, the gaskets are wonderful. They fit rather snug compared to the other drivers I've had. Manufacturers take note.
  10. Enclosure built to Vas, tuned to Fs will yield and F3 of Fs.
  11. Anything really. All polish will do essentially the same thing. Bring the color out and add essential oils.
  12. Aight, I'm out. Night all!
  13. Me no like Zymol. My favorite new wax is the MEguiars NXT. Followed up by THE WAX SHOP glaze.
  14. I'll probably let them go cheap. The D2s are gonna cost me twice as much.
  15. When your done with them i'll take them Are you serious?
  16. I'd sure like to get my Atlas tomorrow.
  17. Next week.
  18. I have like 5 bottles of every product Meguiars has. Everyone buys me car care stuff for Christmas, but it's never what I use or need.
  19. Gray bottle. what colour labeling ? Same cheesy black, with the title, "Low Gloss."
  20. TL it ! It would need an enclosure half the size of the room.
  21. I love MARCH MADNESS!
  22. Gray bottle.
  23. Why go through the trouble. IF it's strictly for HT, no need to worry about musicality. Big box, tune low. What benefit would the bandpass have in regards to HT material? Or will this be an occasional Boomer as well?
