  2. Much love! :boink:
  3. That's awesome!! SOunds like you got the SC on. You have urethane bushings in the A-arms? Thought I heard them squeaking when you pulled in the grass.
  4. LOC is probably a level control for the RCA output voltage. Does it give you some sort or range in the paperwork or on the LOC itself? That will determine where you will be setting the gain at. As for the boost, don't use it unless you need it. Crossover frequency? A good starting point I suggest is 80Hz. It's really dependant upon the rest of your system though. I take it you're just running the rest of the factory gear? If that's the case, you may want to set it a little higher, but it's ultimately up to you. Phase you will have to do by ear as well. See what suits you the best.
  5. Tuning? What's to tune? Does it have bassboost or a built-in Eq or something? I'm confused.
  6. Agreed. No more impulse buys for me. Hell, I've been studying the owners manual for over a week now trying to read the whole thing. I don't think he knows exactly what he's getting into. J/K I think it'll be all good after a little messing around with it.
  7. I personally think the grills would look best covered in cloth.
  8. I have something more suited for that dash. Looks good so far! Be prpared for some wiring!
  9. I was watching that auction!!! Never got an email saying it was ending soon. Nice pick!

  11. Well, this guy is a basshead, so all he really is worried about is loudness. I have a really sweet microswitch setup on the ashtray that when closed turns the sub amp on. Pop open the ash tray door and no more sub. Really stealthy and convenient if he runs into a close call with the Po-Po. With that being said, while the sub is in commission, I have the Vifas crossed at 75Hz. They don't do too bad in the doors, but the midrange leaves something to be desired. Of course, I'm sure this would change if loaded in an enclosure or possibly some EQ and/or crossover work, but he is happy with it, so I'm not messing with it. Without the sub in action, the Vifas are run wide open from the lowend, and provide some amazing bass in the doors actually, right up to the crossover point of 2700. They do however NOT handle the power very well in the doors as you could imagine. With that in mind, he has to be easy on the volume control with the 75Hz highpass off. Overall, they are a great little woofer for the $20 a pop at PE, but I myself would not use them in my install. Simple and effective yes, but I am a fan of the 3-way setup with a dedicated midbass. I guess I'm a MidBassHead. Thanks everyone for all the great comments. Hopefully I'll be getting a new camera soon and can show some better detail.
  12. No kisses. I LOVE women thank you! The crossovers are custom pieces from Madisound.
  13. Same here. And thanks for the call.
  14. Finally, the sub/amp rack. 2.3 cubes sealed and stuffed. Awesom impact, tight quick response and more than enough lowend for anyone IMO. One' 10" driver is more than enough for me in a hatch and this thing is nuts! And a couple really crappy pictures of it lit at night.
  15. Well, finally finished. Excuse the crappy pics from my crappy camera. THe entire enclosure/rack will be pulled out in the winter to be painted body color with a little extra special touch as well. I'll start with the HU Simple ALpine CDA-7892. Cheap, sounds decent, and has all the processing this car needs for its owner. Next, Vifa PL 7" in the door and a Peerless tweet in the A-pillar. This guy is not worried about soundstage at all so these were pretty easy. Find a spot, slap em in and I'm done. Notice I wrapped the crappy stock grills with some cloth. I think this really cleaned up the look. And the crossovers for these. They are located in the stock rear speaker location and sit behind the stock grills once again covered in grill material.
  16. My turn for Grammar Ninja! It's cul-de-sac......
  17. Ground to another spot on the block.
  18. No pictures yet as I am not finished. I had a stupid relay that kep acting up and intermittently flashing the LEDs. It was a pain in the ass and kept me busy for a couple hours troubleshooting. I did run some power to the amps to check all the wiring though. Let me tell you........ The 15" MAG in 2.3 cubes in a 95 F-body is UNREAL! The impact is enough to make me feel a little queezy and the low-end, well, I don't know how people can say these drivers are lacking here as the test tones clearly indicate this thing to be more a low end monster than I can handle. It really is quite amazing what you get with 15" and 2.3 cubes. I am yet again left stunned by this driver. Simply amazing! :boink:
  19. Your spelling is correct.
  20. Patience grasshopper. Some people have to work.
  21. Damn, I HATE hockey. But just for you. Public enemy and Anthrax: Bring Tha Noise! Used to listen to that before my wrestling matches. Still gets me hyped!
